Unethical business practices!! Avoid at all costs!
My husband and I had decided to put our life savings into a remodel.
We received two quotes from Innovative Building and Remodeling in January and February 2021 to conduct a remodel of our attic for $62,961 and $75,051. We were very clear with the contractor that if the remodel went over $80K we would not be able to proceed as this was all of our savings in the bank. They were reassuring about their quotes, and we trusted the contractor, which was our biggest mistake.
We felt pressured to pay a deposit of $5,000 "to secure labor" and to put

Not all contractors are created equal and it is very hard to find one that puts its customers first. IB&R was very professional and responsive. They are fair with costs and flexible with changes. They own up to mistakes/changes and correct them immediately without a fuss (very rare in the contracting business). Our project was not very big but they treated it as if it was as important as their other projects. I highly recommend them and I will use them again.
