The Heroman family has been in the flower business in Baton Rouge for over one hundred years. The original business was located downtown across from St. Joseph's Cathedral. Billy's grandfather, and father's business started as a Feed and Seed store, and as a young boy, Billy would go with his father in a horse and buggy to New Orleans to pick up chrysanthemums for All Saints Day sales.
Our founder, William J. "Billy" Heroman used to say, "We take care of you from the day you come into the world until the day you leave it, and every day in between." Billy Heroman's is the largest florist in Louisiana and one of the biggest in the South. We began in 1955 with our original store at 1946 Perkins Road and have four locations today.
It all started at our Garden District shop on 1946 Perkins Road, where we're still the neighborhood's go-to florist, supplying our long-standing community with the flowers and plants they need for occasions big and small. Our Lee Drive location serves the vibrant LSU community, while our newest location in South Baton Rouge extends our reach and welcomes new customers to the fold.

The sympathy wreath I ordered for my dear friend was absolutely perfect! I can truly say it was the most beautiful arrangement I have ever ordered. I have ordered from a variety of local florists in the past, most were really good, a few were disappointing , but none have compared to this. You are now my go to florist for every occasion. Very disappointed, never heard of a$270 arrangement that when it is delivered and placed it can't be removed because it didn't have a hard bottom base under it. The cardboard bottom was soaked and fell apart when funeral was over and tried to remove and take home. Manager didn't care, said that was the way it was supposed to be made and that he saw it being made. So I can assure you I won't be using them again

I was very pleased with the service I received from Billy Heromanās florist on Harrels Ferry Rd. I was looking for a particular arrangement and the customer service representative, Susanne helped me get just what I needed. I was making the selection on behalf of an office mateās funeral for her mother. I wanted a live plant(s) with roses embedded in the arrangement. Susanne took the time to show me some various options including making suggestions on what looked good together. Beyond thankful for the gorgeous arrangement and ridiculously quick turn around time on delivery! You guys are amazing! Thank you for taking such incredible care of our aunt and uncle this morning.
