Established in 1955 by John Lamberts, Urbandale Auto Body Service quickly became known for its quality workmanship, honesty, and fairness in the automotive collision service. John's son, Arnie and his wife, Lucy, purchased the company from John upon his retirement in the early 1970's. They continued to uphold the same quality and service that the community had come to expect from UABS.
Today, Ryan and Jaylene Lamberts own and operate UABS as the third generation committed to carrying on the legacy started by Ryan's family over 65 years ago. In addition to striving to maintain high quality customer service, the company continues to add to the services offered by ongoing training and education of their staff in progressive techniques such as PDR and new developing technologies in paint matching and products.

We work on all makes and models of vehicles and utilize several different techniques, products, and tools to find the most cost-effective way to you to restore your vehicle back to its pre-accident condition or better Additionally, we can provide you with a ride to work or home when you drop off your vehicle during our normal operating business hours (location must be within a five mile radius).

I had a hood that would not properly close because of trying to close it when something was in the way. The issue was diagnosed as a bent hinge with no apparent damage to the hood. The hinge was replaced and the hood was adjusted to close properly. They even did some minor touch up on the hood where paint had chipped off because of the bad closing. This was all done extremely quickly and was handled in a professional manner. Excellent work from a great group of people!

The level of service is off the charts. I had nothing but trouble from my insurance company, but Urbabdale Autobody really went above and beyond, going to bat for me with he insurance company and making sure everything was fixed right. They not only fixed every dent so flawlessly that you couldn't even tell were they had been, but the repairs were completed ahead of schedule.

Great experience here!! Excellent quality of work. Had front end damage to my Honda CRV and body work was flawless. Needed to have a little more work done them initially expected and they were sure it all was done right and to my satisfaction. Great in working with the insurance company and being my advocate. Ryan has a great team and awesome customer service. I will use exclusively for my auto body work in the future.

I took my 2018 Toyota in after a rear end accident and they were so professional and quick! I was able to bring my car in the same day I called and they had it fixed, painted, and glass reinstalled in 3 days.
A few weeks later, my husband’s windshield got a decent crack in it. They replaced his windshield in a matter of hours.

My dad worked here for over 20 years and I wouldn't trust anyone else to repair my vehicles. I brought in my 2016 Chevy Spark that needed some repairs after another car backed into it. Ryan and the guys had my car done in half the time they said it would take, the paint matches perfectly, and you can't tell it was ever damaged. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing work done on their car by people who love what they do and it shows in their work... Thank you so much Ryan!
