The first six years are so important to the development of the child. Maria Montessori stated that the child becomes an integral member of the family and culture to which they belong. Our school emphasizes the importance of attitudes, manners and values in the first years of a child's life. At the Children's House, we believe as Maria Montessori believed, that the arts are an essential component of life.
We value and encourage the "creative spirit" within the child and provide opportunities for art, music and movement. The Children's House - Montessori Preschool does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, or national origin. We invite all to come, to learn and to join our village of learners.

Linda Rose Lean is the Head Directress of the Children's House. Mrs. Lean has a B.A. Degree in Psychology and Philosophy from East Carolina University and has received Montessori Pre-Primary certification from the American Montessori Society as well as Toddler and Infant certification from the North American Montessori Center.
The Toddler program - is for children 15 months to 2 1/2 years old. All materials are age specific, designed for the toddler's cognitive, motor skills, and language growth. It provides a child's first step away from home. It is an excellent introduction for the child in a Montessori environment. It is a stepping stone for the pre-primary program.
Children may join our toddler classroom around the age of fifteen months. Language, gross motor skills and independence are developing. These are nurtured within a well prepared environment. This environment also provides first social experiences with other toddlers. They are able to explore and learn.
Program Discounts - When two siblings are enrolled, a discount of 15% is given for the second child. A one month notice is required when removing your child from The Children's House Montessori Pre-school. Full payments for the month are required for months that are shortened due to scheduled holidays, teacher work days, weather, and days of non-operation as determined by The Children's House - Montessori Pre-school.
Tuition is due the first of each month. You may use the drop box at The Children's House, mail your payment, or pay online through Paypal on our website. The payment button is on the Tuition page. A small fee is charged for online payments to help cover the cost of Paypal. Tuition not received by the 7th of each month is subject to a late fee.

Highly disappointed. My daughter attended from May through October 2018. My daughter was bitten badly by another child and they failed to provide an incident report, she also came home with a bad scrape on her elbow about 2 months later and again no incident report. I addressed both issues and the assistant director blamed my child for not speaking up and then blamed me for not teaching her to speak up however my child spoke up to me,her sister and grandmother when she was bitten and had a scrape on her elbow. The owners are ver nice people but they have a staffing problem and I pray she gets a

We are very pleased with the Children's House Montessori Preschool! My oldest son started there when he was about to turn 3 and is now 5 and starting Kindergarten. He has just thrived at this school and it is such a pleasure to see him grow and succeed and to see that the teachers at the Children's House also share in this joy!
My younger son started much earlier when he was about to turn 2. He was a child that did not want to leave my side but he was so comfortable with teachers and environment at the Children's House (from picking up my other son) that he started to ask to go to school. I was

We love Children's House Montessori! The teaching staff are friendly and helpful. Every time I walk in, the children are happy and on task. My oldest daughter is learning to read and she's only 4! I am amazed at how much my girls are learning. My husband and I feel like we are investing in our children's education when we send them to this preschool!
I like the design of the school and how it's filled with educational activities. The playground is also fun the children. There's plenty to do outside when the children need to release some energy!
I highly recommend Children's House Montessori if
