If your small move gets assigned to these movers, cancel it ASAP. They "lost" the single most valuable box of small electronics I had and other items totaling over $4,000. They missed the pickup window with no communication. They said they would drop off 2 days in a row but didn't also with no communication. Of course they insist on getting paid in cash leaving you little recourse. Unless you pay for additional insurance, they will offer you $0.60 per pound for lost items. They tried to deliver someone else's items. It may seem like it is a good deal, but you will honestly be happier paying 3x

We didn't realize that we used a broker until we were assigned to Best van moving lines. At that point we were already several thousand dollars out. This company damaged every piece of furniture we own. Every box looked like it was tossed and moved several times. Boxes were stacked 5 high on arrival. They "lost" our 60" TV, a bike rack, my kid's art easel, and sentimental artwork. Their compensation package was $39. But if we wanted to insure everything it would have cost 20k. If you can move yourself, do it. Stay away from brokers and this company. Someone needs to disrupt this industry, there

AVOID THIS COMPNAY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! I wish I knew this was the company that was going to handle my family's belongings. After seeing all of the other horrendous reviews, I would have found another way. Unfortunately, I did not know this until the day they arrived.
The first time I moved across the country, I did it myself with a U-Haul. Nothing was lost, nothing was broken and I spent way less than I did using a service. I did not choose Best Moving Van Lines; they were contracted by Compass Van Lines (which I later found out is a "broker" that contracts movers and takes

First, I am a disabled vet and would have moved myself if I could have.
However, I employed Atlantic/Best Movers. Atlantic subbed to a company called Best moving.
Boxes and Totes smashed. Inspite of being marked fragile. Broken. Lamps broken. Lamp shades smashed... Lost all legs to a $2000 table dining room set. It's a joke.
It wasn't the guys who packed my stuff. It was transit and storage. took about a month for the goods to arrive. No care at all. I spent almost $12k for this move.

I used a broker (who posed as a shipper) to help with my move from CA to TX and they contracted this horrible company to ship my belongings. They have 1 customer service rep who keeps telling me that they need to call dispatch in order to locate my things but that dispatch is not currently in the office. I used to work in supply chain and logistics so I know this is a lie because dispatchers are at their computer literally all day long. It should take 15 minutes max to locate someone’s things. Not days or weeks. They are dishonest and someone needs to hold this “company”

Jaime and his team were very professional and took great care of our belongings. Our destination was 5 hours away and Jaime promised that our belongings would arrive the next day. He encountered problems at the scales heading out so he was not able to start the drive until late afternoon. They arrived at our house at 8pm. I appreciated that he did not postpone to the next day. I wanted my stuff and he kept his word and made sure my stuff was delivered. I didn't care about the time.

If I could give this company a zero star I would with no hesitation. First of all, I contracted with Allied Moving company who then contracted with Best Moving Van Line to move my things across country. When my stuff was picked up they told me it would be delivered within a certain number of days (7-21) which was never done. After I called them multiple times they told me that my stuff had been in the warehouse for 3 weeks after they had picked up from my house and 2 weeks after the "earliest delivery date". Their communication and transparency is awful. They never tell you upfront the whole process

I cannot begin to implore you enough to reconsider using this company. We booked a move through US Standard Moving which had 4+ ratings. We are moving from Monterey to DC. We liked the sales rep, thought we got a fair price and expected a good experience. We were never told that our belongings would be picked up by a subsidiary moving company and that they would sit in a warehouse anywhere from 14-30 days before they were even re-loaded onto a different truck and sent to DC. Our experience thus far has been so deplorable I am very concerned I will never receive my belongings or that they will be

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Horrible horrible experience. Not only they were very late in delivering our belongings, they were very rude every time we called to check on the status of our shipment, yelled at us and hung up the phone on us. On top of that, when our items finally arrived, they asked for more money because their truck couldn't get into our street despite of the fact we alerted them ahead of time. Many of our items arrived damaged and with missing parts. Sofa was torn, missing legs for the bed, missing desk legs, damaged wood book shelves and more. We trusted very expensive items

This company was picked for me by US Standard which I didn't know was a broker.
My first time using a moving company and it was a total nightmare. I don't understand why people treat people.
I was supposed to be moved last Saturday and it's now Wednesday. To make things worst, they canceled me the last minute because I refused the driver which was not true.

We moved from Ca to Tx and it was the worst experience ever. When we went through a broker and they totally under estimated the cubic feet that we had. Than came along Best Moving Van Lines and they wanted money every time they came to pick up anything, and they charged over $3000.00 for packing service and packing materials when we did 95% of the packing in boxes and totes. If I could give negative stars I would give -5. Be aware of this company run the opposite way fast.

My family and I did a cross country move at which time we were quoted the price of $5000.00. As the process went from one stage to the next our moving information after we gave the deposit of $1741 was sold to a local company in out city Best Moving. They came without calling and packed the truck which for the most part was okay however they were packing until the wee hours of the morning then went on to slap us with a bill of well over $6000.00. They broke several items a pottery barn table, antique shelf from Japan which we have not been reimbursed for and left an antique worth well over $2500
