Institute For Advanced Medicine
Our goal is to totally disrupt the current healthcare model with this fundamental shift in perspective: putting our patients first. Too often, people in pain are given addictive painkillers, painful injections or worse - told they need to have surgery. We believe the body is amazing and has the ability to heal itself!

Our goal is to provide our patients with a better physical therapy option than drugs or surgery. Instead, we employ gentle and effective hands-on techniques that are specifically designed to alleviate your symptoms and restore your overall function. Trigger point dry needling is a highly-effective way to quickly "deactivate" knots and help your muscles relax so they can work properly.
Services
Dry needling is a technique that physical therapists use to treat pain and movement impairments. This technique uses a "dry"needle (meaning no medication or injection), which is inserted through the skin into specific areas of the muscle. Dry needling is often part of a larger physical therapy program.
We believe drugs, injections, or surgery should be a last resort, used only when all other options have been exhausted. The first step should be to give your body a chance to heal itself and repair any existing damage. Book an appointment to meet one-on-one with an iAM physical therapist in Bentonville.
A physical therapist is a doctor that uses a variety of techniques and technologies to keep you moving, to make your daily activities easier, and to help you perform at your best. When you come to iAM Physical Therapy, you will be working one-on-one with a movement expert who is 100% focused on helping you recover - while avoiding the need for surgery or ongoing pain medication.
Is your lower back pain slowing you down and preventing you from doing the things you used to do like sitting comfortably, playing with your kids or grandkids, walking, sleeping or playing golf? Does the thought of not knowing what is wrong with your back or the fear of becoming addicted to painkillers keep you up at night?
Do you have difficulty lifting your coffee cup in the morning? Does the thought of typing at your computer make your hands ache? Whether you are a mechanic, an analyst, or a child at play, our hands, wrists, and elbows help us be who we are. That's why hand pain and other problems can have such an extreme impact on your life.

I have very mixed emotions about this place. My physical therapist was great.
I have been going there for over 2 months for a knee injury. I paid my copay every visit. Not one time did they bring up that they weren’t in my network. Or that my copay wasn’t covering my charges.
They wait over 2 months when I finally decide that I wasn’t gaining anything else from my visits to send me a nice big bill. I honestly think they would have kept going and waiting as long as I was showing up before they would have ever sent me an invoice for any balance. Coincidence? I don’t believe in those…

I saw iAM for my total knee replacement revision. My goals were to strengthen my leg muscles and get as much of a range of motion as possible. I saw iAM three times a week for over two months. At the conclusion, I am able to bend my knee further than I had hoped! I kept my expectations low so not to be disappointed and my range was 20 degrees greater than I wished for! To say I’m elated seems like an under statement! To say I am eternally grateful for what iAM did for my quality of life seems more appropriate. I noticed the strength in my legs increased rapidly. I believe this is because of the

I recently had surgery for my right shoulder. My rotator cuff was in poor shape, bone spurs, arthritis, damaged tendons, etc.
The surgery was a great success but I needed physical therapy to complete the repair.
I was referred to iAm where Dr. Robertozzi began the process and it is a process. I saw Dr Robertozzi twice a week for 1hour session each time.
He began by establishing a base line of my complete shoulder movement. Started gentle stretching and movement of the range of motion of my shoulder which progressed with exercises, added resistance and strength exercises until my shoulder is

I visited iAm PT on a bike trip to Bentonville. I'd been dealing with some knee/IT irritation all summer and after a long day in the saddle, my leg was not happy. I was fairly certain some dry needling would do the trick and get me back to riding. Christian listened to my history, my thoughts and experiences as well as explained in depth what was happening. He had me fixed up with some dry needling and felt instant relief, as well as some exercises to treat the root cause (weak hips). Would recommend for any one!

A great group of folks that care about you and your pain. I used them after a knee replacement and therapy was right on target. I was up and about in a very short time. Then again when I had back issues.

The experience was great. Christian, Amy, and entire staff made every effort to enable me to recover well from surgery. I have recommended them to others. They would be my choice should I have need of rehab again.

After developing a very scary gastric ulcer; likely caused from prolonged use of nSAIDs (Ibuprofen) to mitigate pain, I swore to myself I would NEVER take another one again unless it was absolutely necessary!
Kind of ashamed to admit how long I’ve worked right next door to iAM Physical Therapy before overhearing PT Christian discussing the pain relieving benefits of dry needling with a coworker.
I thought to myself.. “People must be pretty desperate to allow the insertion of several needles (similar to acupuncture needles) directly into the muscles and nerve pathways causing the pain.”

When I first began treatment with IAM, I was in constant severe pain. After about 6 weeks I am very much improved. I still has some discomfort if I am on my feet for an extended period of time but there is no comparison to what I felt like before. I highly recommend this service for the treatment of pain.
