Services
Corry Counseling Services is a private, non-profit community agency. Formerly known as Counselling Services Center of Southeastern Erie County, the agency has served children and adults with mental and developmental disabilities in Corry for over 40 years. Karen M. Croyle, LSW, is the agency Executive Director and is responsible for the management and administration of the agency.
Initially working out of an office at Corry Memorial Hospital, the organization expanded to its current location in 1988. This same year, the agency opened the first of its two Community Residential Homes. Over the years, Outpatient services have grown and expanded to include School-Based Services in the Corry Elementary and Middle High School and the agency's Union City Satellite Office.
Blended Case Management services assist children and adults with significant mental health concerns to access needed supports and services. Case Managers support clients in utilizing and coordinating medical, psychiatric and dental health services; locating educational resources; applying for benefits and managing income; and securing safe and stable housing.
The Family Based team will primarily schedule sessions in the home 2-3 times per week. Sessions will be scheduled at the convenience of you, your family, and the Family Based team. Family Based services is a voluntary program and can be authorized for up to an eight month period.

The Family Based teams undergo 3 years of training through the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center, Inc. to further enhance their clinical skills and better serve the needs of families. Finally, the Family Based program offers a 24 hours/7 days a week emergency contact to an on-call team member for crisis support.
Family Preservation is a specialized program funded by the Erie County Office of Children and Youth. The Family Preservation Program participates in program evaluation by the Mercyhurst Civic Institute. For more information, please contact Renee Parker/Mitchell, MA, Program Supervisor, at (814) 664-7761 ext.

Always helpful. We drive all the way here from Warren because they are so much nicer, have their act together, you can get in quicker, and seem to care about you more than Beacon Light in Warren.

Listened to everything I had to say. Felt the weight clear being able to talk to someone n explain my life. I've lived a rough life n now I'm happy I feel like everyone is against me.

I don't know a lot about the counseling center, except that it is clean, quiet and we'll organized. I go to the building because it also houses Village Friends, a volunteer group which strives to help keep seniors in their own homes and provide social outlets for them. It's a great group of people, and my husband and I are both currently volunteers.

They were very nice and treated my mother and I like humans worthy of existing. I'm used to an adversarial relationship and none of that existed in this environment . They even had nice soft chairs to sit in . The psychiatrist was nice as well.
