Ida's Catering opened in 1983 as a mother and daughter team of Cyndi Campbell and Ida Engfer, working out of a small kitchen on Laskey Road. Our kitchen, where we have operated for more than 30 years, located at 4425 Bennett Road was converted from the Bennett Hardware store. Family and friends contributed to the remodeling, keeping with the tradition of Ida's.

If anyone needs some ideas on who to go to for any baking or catering needs, I highly suggest Ida's Catering LLC in Toledo. Libbey called their service needing 10 cookie decorating kits, 10 gingerbread cookie… decorating kits, and 10 cocoa bombs kits. She was so happy, upbeat and personable. When I picked up the goodies, all of them were neatly packaged in individual boxes and then Saran wrapped to easily carry them outside. Each kit had so much to offer when decorating, and the cocoa bomb kits had 4 flavors of bombs in the box with a sleeve of homemade chocolate chip cookies (flavors included

Hired Ida’s Catering LLC to cater my daughter’s backyard wedding reception. The service was excellent and the appetizers and entrees were exceptional. Brie and her team were very knowledgeable and… professional and very accommodating. Our guest not only raved over how artistically the appetizers were presented and the entrees were plated but also over the deliciousness and uniqueness the flavors were. I cannot share details regarding the taste of the food, as I could not get past the pricing of the entrees. Most catering businesses offer different entree options ie entree A, entree B, etc. One entree usually has less expensive options (stuffed chicken, chicken cordon beau, lasagna and the other entree has more expensive options like sliced beef, steak, prime rib, etc.. This was NOT the case with this company. The chicken items were on the expensive side of the menu and the items were limited. When I questioned her, she was rude and not very helpful.

The food was delicious! The guests at my wedding raved about the carrots and chicken. The staff was always willing to help. They were professional, funny, knowledgeable and timely. Communication was often and… informative! Very thankful we chose them to cater for our wedding. They really helped contribute to the easy going day that it was.

We used Ida's catering for my uncle's funeral luncheon. The food was great! We loved the herb crusted chicken, dressing, pork tenderloin and delicious gravy. Food was hot, served on time, and very comforting. Deserts we so good, maybe too good, because we could not stop eating them. Ida was the perfect hostess! She was very kind, professional and personable and was extra accommodating to my mom. We were so pleased with the service offered and the food. I give a very high recommendation for Ida's catering.
