Amato Architecture
We love beautiful spaces. And we think the most beautiful spaces are the ones you can use every day. From custom home remodels, additions and new construction to magnificent restaurants, banks, breweries and other commercial spaces, we specialize in clean, beautiful, functional design. The result is a seamless integration between old and new, and between our designs and the landscape they're a part of.

We are proud to practice environmentally sustainable design since 2001. How can we help you find the perfect intersection between form and function?
Services
The best home and commercial design projects bring every element together: form and function; the space and its surroundings; vision and detail; budget and style; the place and the people who live and work there. We approach every project with an eye to the harmonious integration of each element of design.
Production of multiple plan options to determine the optimal layout for the people who will use the space;. On-site presence during construction to ensure that the project we envisioned for you is the space that gets built. Pre-Design: Before we begin design, our team measures the property and documents all existing conditions at your work site (existing walls, windows, doors, ceiling heights, etc.).
Lukas comes to Amato Architecture from Ernst Brothers & Bluebell Kitchens, where he worked as a visual designer, and from Studio Geiger Architecture, where he contributed to projects in New York and Philadelphia as an Architectural Designer. Architecturally, Lukas is interested in conceptualizing space with a focus on how the built environment impacts our everyday lives.
I have completed approximately 800 projects over my 18 years in business. Initially, as a sole proprietor, I took on 10-12 projects a year, but now with six employees, I complete 50 - 60 projects throughout the course of the year. Of these, 65% are residential projects and 35% are restaurant, retail and commercial projects.

Rebecca is AMAZING! We wanted to update our kitchen and add an office to our home. We only had a vague idea of the design with a few things that were a must have for each room. But Rebecca was able to turn those ideas into a design that not only looked stunning but also had such a natural and easy flow to it. As with any construction project there will be times when plans have to change for any number of reasons. Rebecca was like a seasoned quarterback making sure all the pieces worked together to get the job done right.

Rebecca's skill as an architect is only matched by what an amazing human she is. Her depth and breadth of her knowledge of design, beauty and function are a gift. I have seen a lot of design, but Rebecca orchestrates the client's soul, the surrounding natural and physical environment and the principles of good design into a space that nurtures its inhabitants. A good architect will listen and hold a vision while managing the details of construction. Rebecca does that all. You would be lucky to have her on your remodel team.

We had seen Rebecca's beautiful work in the houses of two different friends and they both recommended her highly. She was the middle bid of the three architects we interviewed. After completing an 8-month remodel on our kitchen and back of our home, I can honestly say we couldn't have done it without her. Despite her own more modern aesthetic, she respected and maintained the architectural integrity of our 1929 home. She always gave us multiple options and encouraged us to try on different ideas before finalizing the plans. She pushed us to consider a peninsula with bar stools that I

Hiring Rebecca for a full home remodel ended up being a tremendous mistake that cost me thousands of dollars with nothing to show for it. She simply does not hear much of what her client is saying in meetings. When I raised objections about our most recent meeting, in which literally none of the things discussed were incorporated into the plans, she was unable to discuss my concerns like a professional. Instead, she shut down, accepting no responsibility and suggesting more rework (at my expense). Some back and forth in the design process is normal, but I consider it unacceptable to have an entire

She made an appointment with us at a time that was convenient for her. I spent one hour commuting, my daughter-in-law left work early and skipped lunch so she could be home. This person called us at 4:30 (she was supposed to be at the house) and said she was not coming as she had too much other work to do. I felt she was rude. (canceling at the last minute is rude)
O.K. possibly a misunderstanding. But still was not happy.

Rebecca Amato has tons of experience with both residential and commercial design. As a general contractor, I have worked with tons of architects over the years. Rebecca is one of the best. She is still personally involved in the design and execution of her projects. With large firms, clients are handed off to "project architects", who may not be up to the standard of the principals. With Rebecca, you get the "real deal"--Rebecca herself. And she is outstanding. Highly recommended!

I am a general contractor who has worked with Rebecca Amato. I have worked with many architects over the past 11 years of owning my own business. Rebecca's design build experience gives her an understanding of field construction and job costing that is far superior to many architects. She matches her aesthetic sense to the clients' desires while also taking into consideration their budget, and delivers a product that best meets their needs. Her field visits to work out design details ensure that the project is completed per her specifications. As a contractor I found her very easy

We debated whether we really needed an architect for our do-it-yourself remodel of our small house, which involves moving a stairway, re-doing our kitchen, putting in a second bath and finding room for some much-needed closets. We had a general idea of what we wanted, but I felt a professional would help us come up with a better plan, particularly because we were trying to do a lot with a small space and needed to be clever about it. My partner now agrees that he is glad that I won the debate and we hired Rebecca Amato. I appreciated the attention she gave to our small project (we only hired her
