Our primary goal is to restore the health of our patients while preventing future hospitalizations.
Phillip was born and raised in a small town in South Georgia. In 2004, he earned his Nursing Degree and worked in various departments including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ER, ICU, Dialysis and Critical Care Transport. He then decided to pursue his dream to travel, and took several nursing positions from the U.S. Virgin Islands to California, before making Sacramento his final destination.
We only employee Registered Nurses and have comprised a great team with many years of experience and many skill sets to provide you with the best nursing care. We only employee License Physical Therapist and our great team will work tirelessly to help you return to you best level of functionality and quality of life.
American River Home Care is looking for full and part time experienced clinicians to join our growing team. Our agency services the greater Sacramento area and surrounding counties. My nurse, who works for your company, is an Angel. My nurse rendered the kindest care and compassion that I've ever witnessed from the medical community. He tended to and gave service to a dear friend of mine before her passing. Provided care, and concern for her welfare and well-being. He was a pillar of strength for me.

Wanted to highlight the outstanding services and processes provided by American River Home Care. My mom needed hospice services and was living in an assisted living community. From the initial communication, explanation of services, overall responsiveness, execution of deliverables, communication processes, etc... --- American River Home Care always exceeded my expectations. This is a repeat of one I wrote last month. That one got posted in another Ken Marks yelp account (San Francisco) and wanted the review to be reflected in my primary account--this one. How this other account got started, I have no idea.
I have had home PT services before after ankle replacement (twice I am afraid). Each time required physical therapy to be done initially at home as could not put weight on my leg after surgery. This time my issue was a torn quad tendon, with the same situation, no weight on my leg for six weeks. So was set up by my doctor with this American River Home

I am assuming I could have requested whoever I wanted, but even if I could, did not have enough real knowledge to make an informed choice. So it was this company that was providing services this time. I am so lucky they did.

It was my first-ever surgery. I was discharged after one day in hospital and arrived home to realize my home was not easy to negotiate after my hip replacement surgery. My home care team arrived the next day and put me at ease. My whole team was fantastic and helped me negotiate this trying time in my life....especially my nurse Chris who was fantastic!
With his help I was able to get Medicare approval for a portable hospital-style adjustable bed that allowed for easy in/out and proper leg placement so I could finally get some quality sleep.
I am grateful to have had such great home care

There aren't enough positive words that can be spoken about American River Hospice Services. One never wants to have to be in a position to have to call upon a hospice company, but sometimes, it's inevitable, and should we ever need to contact one again, it will, without a doubt be American River Hospice Services. On a late Saturday evening, we had to call upon a hospice service to tend to my grandmother. Tim Brown, the company's Administrator, showed up within 30 minutes of our initial phone call. We have been using this company, thru Kaiser, for the last 3 weeks. The staff we have met are fantastic. Knowledgeable about our particular issue which is great. With another company, I had to train the nurse!
Lynette an her husband Chris are fantastic nurses. They know how to make you feel like a friend is here to visit. And honestly, as a retired RN, it is nice to not feel I have to watch and have to reapply the dressings. These two are a huge value to this company.
So if you need to choose a home health provider, I highly recommend American River

The entire American River home health, PT, OT and hospice team provide the best care I could have ever asked for my grandfather. They're team of professionals are knowledgeable, compassionate and provide the best quality care. Tim Brown from American River Hospice goes above and beyond to make sure the transition to hospice care is smooth and made sure all our questions were answered and took care of all the logistics (from getting medications to equipment very quickly) and took any extra burdens off of the family. His love for nursing shows for the way he truly cares for all his patients

Amber PT and Jennifer OT were exceptional and got me up and going in no time. They are knowledgeable and friendly and oh, so motivating! Chris RN was my "counselor", and he, too, motivated me to change my behaviors. I highly recommend these professionals from ARHC (and miss them all :-).

Want to shout out to Lindsay Martin, she is always ready willing and there to be a help to everyone. She is sooo amazing with her families that she works with, the compassion, love and joy that she get's from being to help a family that is so scared and the stress of the unknowing, she makes everyone feel at east, relaxed, very knowledgeable. I have know Lindsay to stay late, work weekends, to always be there for someone when they need her. Great organization that she works for, the owner really has the right people involved in American River Hospice and Home Care.

My wife and I employed American River Hospice for my father-in-law who had terminal kidney cancer. Tim Brown, the head nurse and manager, Fawna and Renee, two other nurses assigned to our case, were all helpful and skilled. They offered their support to us, the family, as well.
But where American River Hospice dropped the ball was in their social worker and spiritual worker fulfilling our needs. I never knew when I would get a call from the social worker, Brian, not the spiritual counselor, Lee

Chris, Amber, Megan, and Jennifer were a great help in my recovery from a 5-way bypass surgery. They pushed me but not overwhelmed me in my PT & OT. They were all very friendly, professional, personal, and accommodating. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thank you ARHC.

Look no further if you need home health care by quality, caring nurses. This company is the only home health care operation that Kaiser Permanente recommends following cardiac surgery. The team of nurses I was assigned went above and beyond the call of duty. I was assigned four nurses, registered nurse (all are RN's), physical therapist, occupational therapist and a respiratory therapist. Each has a dedicated specialty. They helped. Sometimes simple things like learning to get into and out of a vehicle, how to safely live in your own home by identifying and removing hazards while recovering

My wife has been in need of home care a number of times in the past two years ,after extended stays in the hospital She has been fortunate to have Chris Touponce as her home care nurse twice after being released from the hospital. She feels and I feel that we have been blessed to have him.He is very dedicated to the care and welfare of his patients. Numerous times in the past,,when my wife was having severe problems I had to call Chis and he was always quick to respond ,except one time when he was with another patient and was unable to. In April my husband needed an unexpected heart valve repair requiring open chest surgery. This was rather undaunting to us as we are both healthy and this was our first medical crisis requiring hospitalization. The hospital connected us with American River Home Care which was truly a blessing! Shortly after discharge my husband received nursing RN, PT and OT services twice a week. All 3 individuals were professional, respectful and knowledgeable and were in contact with one another resulting in more seamless and integrated treatment and outcomes. My father recently had a complex ankle fracture that required surgery, a stay at a skilled nursing/rehab facility and then assistance at home.
We were truly blessed to have American River Home Care.
The therapist and nurse were incredible and my father is thriving at home.
