Once all your "official" wedding reception events are over and you are in pure "dance mode", your DJ needs to beat mix. It's an art. It's not easy, but it's magic when it's done right. If your guests hit the dance floor for a favorite song and find themselves still out there 15 minutes later, never figuring out when one song ended and the next one started, they've been caged!
Bruce has personally performed at over 2000 weddings. He is an expert at figuring out a crowd and matching his presentation to fit their energy level, musical tastes and sophistication. I am so happy my wedding planner recommended Bruce. He has such a chill vibe, easy to talk to, was detail oriented. He rolled with the COVID19 delays like a champ. He took detailed notes about the processional, and the coordinating website he uses was user friendly. Bruce is super easy to get along with and made our day special.

We knew Bruce was the DJ for us from the get go. From our first phone conversation with him, we could tell his energy and kindness were exactly what we wanted at our wedding. He knew exactly what questions to ask, and what questions we would have. He made us feel confident when speaking about the wedding. His website made us very hands on in the selection of the music. It was well organized in determining the different parts of the wedding, and ensuring that the songs that we wanted were played at specific points of the wedding. Our wedding was scheduled for 8/8/20. It had to be cancelled due to the state of CA governors "shelter in place" order. Since then my husband got out of the military & we moved out of state. Bruce has refused to return our deposit stating it is "non-refundable" despite these extenuating circumstances (COVID). Disgusting to make others pay for services legally not allowed to be rendered! Beware!

Bruce was so easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. His responses were always fast and helped with any questions we had. He has an incredible website called Bridesanity that we were able to use to pick our songs. The website provided us top song suggestions for each step, cake cutting, processional, happy hour, songs during dinner, dancing, etc. The website also provided a space to get to know us as a couple and the vibe we wanted for our wedding. We interviewed three highly recommended DJ's for our wedding. Bruce came out on top. Even with high expectations, Bruce exceeded them by far. He carefully listened to how we wanted our wedding to turn out and in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, he was always available to listen to any adjustments we wanted to make.
Being in the business for as long as he has, he has a lot of experience and connections and recommendations. And it shows! He even gave us a referral for a harpist that we ended using for our ceremony that we loved.

Coming from 2 very different distinct backgrounds, me being Mexican and my husband being Ghanaian, Bruce did such a great job by respecting our playlist and keeping the crowd very entertained!! Bruce did my wedding early last year, so this review is long overdue but well deserved. Bruce was the icing on the cake for our big day! I had told him that I encouraged the singing and dancing and gave him a list of all the songs I wanted--he delivered and then some! There was one song I wanted to end the night with that I had forgotten and at the very last moment he made it work. He even provided the uplights that made our venue feel even more cozy. Even more so, I loved his booth set up--it didn't feel like an awkwardly placed table--it fit right into our decor.

Bruce knows how to get the party started! My husband and I hired him for our wedding and we were extremely pleased with his service. Bruce is professional and it's clear that he is there to make his clients happy. We gave him a list of songs that we wanted played and he played most of them. He also took requests from our guests. Bruce is the best! We hired him for our nonprofit organization's Annual Gala & Auction in November and he did a perfect job. He set up all the speakers for the event and everything went off without a flaw. He provided awesome music and a great attitude! If you want the best, search no further! Bruce is the most amazing DJ I have ever experienced! I put on a Christmas Holiday party every year with over 260 guests, and he has our party hopping!

As a wedding photographer, I have worked with many dj's but I have to say, Bruce sets an example for the rest. He is amazing at getting the crowd on the dance floor. He has even taught me tricks for this.

After dealing with some extremely disappointing and flakey behavior from another DJ we had hoped to book with, working with Bruce (the owner) was like a breath of fresh air. He is extremely professional, friendly, full of great suggestions, and very responsive. The music selection program on his website was also very easy to use.

Bruce just made our event! I can't tell you how many compliments we got on our DJ. He was so prepared and worked with us to make sure our day was that much more perfect. The music was the best and so fun people were out on the dance floor the entire time which is what I wanted.

We worked with Bruce and Paul at Battleson entertainment. We were looking for DJ and projection services for an outdoor reception. We looked at a ton of vendors but could not find one that would allow us to do projection outdoors because of the potential for wind to knock over the screens. Bruce Battleson was able to provide us with two amazing screens stretched over an aluminum support from a subcontractor. They looked like small versions of screens you may see at an outdoor concert. Gus was great! My little bro got married in Fallbrook and Gus was the DJ/MC.
I officiated the wedding and needed to coordinate some music into the ceremony. Communication leading into the event was super smooth. He gave some advice on how to execute my idea BETTER and on the day of the even we both hit our cues perfectly!

The series of questionnaires and advice he gave us showed how eager he was to learn everything he could about us, and help us make an informed decision. I first saw Bruce DJ at a friends wedding. He had the entire party dancing all night, regardless of their age. This was exactly what my husband and I wanted for our wedding.
