Flanders Industries
In 1906, Marshall B. Lloyd opened the Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Menominee, Michigan, where he developed a timeless and unique process for creating fine woven furniture. We are proud to continue crafting this heirloom furniture today, in the same facility where it all began. Lloyd Flanders furniture can be found in many historic places and fine hotels across the United States.

Our furniture is also featured in film, television and music. Don and Dudley Flanders purchase the Lloyd Manufacturing works from Heywood-Wakefield to form Lloyd Flanders and begin manufacturing contemporary loom furniture that's durable enough for outdoor use.
Services
At Lloyd Flanders, great design, craftsmanship and lifelong durability are all intertwined. Natural-fiber wicker with a long-lasting high performance Durium polyester coating for outdoor durability and flexibility. The continuous weave avoids burrs and cracking, and increases visual appeal by eliminating any visible material ends.
If you have any questions about Lloyd Flanders furniture, please read our FAQ or contact a Lloyd Flanders retailer in your area. We will work through our retail partner to provide the information and support you need. Our products are designed and crafted to endure the outdoor environment. We recommend regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure that your Lloyd Flanders furniture can be enjoyed for generations.
Lloyd Loom furniture is still made in the same facility where this special process was first developed in 1917. Marshall Burns Lloyd created a process by which cellulose strands are woven into a wicker fabric as an alternative to the then popular method of wrapping cane around a frame.

Each hand-crafted piece of Lloyd Loom furniture made today uses the same process to create the loom fabric, though we've added advanced technologies over the last quarter century to produce a continuous strand that will not burr, crack, or peel, resulting in a consistently smooth weave. The fiber used to create Lloyd Loom fabric is twisted into a sturdy cord and wound onto small spools, then rewound onto larger spools that feed into the looms.
