This nail salon has been disappointing every time I have gone. Whether it's sloppy work on your nails or rude staff members. Today, I asked them to fix one broken nail and add a top coat to which they refused me service, telling me they only do full manicures.
You can find a better priced and more hygienic salon almost anywhere else.

I've usually had ok experiences here, but I'm not sure I'll go out of my way to return again. Prices are already more expensive here compared to other salons I go to, but I decided to splurge and book an appointment for location convenience. I booked a dip powder appointment - no manicure ($40) and added tips for the shape I wanted ($10). After tipping my tech, I went to checkout and my total was $60. I tried to ask and clarify that I had dip powder only without a manicure-- I was dismissed several times and still charged the additional price. I was happy with my nails but was pretty disappointed

When I went and got my nails done here, I already had dip on when I arrived and needed it removed. The lady who did my nails literally just started ripping them off. She then got a fake nail to dig underneath my nails to rip them off. I’ve always had people do a combination of soaking them off/filing them down to remove them. Yes, my nails were already starting to lift slightly in the back but in no way were they falling off. When I told her that she was hurting me, she simply smiled at me and kept ripping them off. I told her that she was causing me pain about 3-4 times and she kept ignoring

My favorite nail place! I get dip powder done here every 3 weeks and my natural nails have never been in better shape! Kelly is super talented and takes her time to make sure my nails look great. They last the full 3 weeks without chipping. Everyone here is very friendly and will do their best to make sure you have a good experience. It helps to have an appointment with someone, they do get busy. But they always do their best to get to everyone as quick as they can.

Spent about 30 minutes for a basic mani/pedi here. I got no color on my nails, just wanted my cuticles done well and my nails buffed with the machine. They told me they didn't have a "buffing machine," (but they do). I spent $75 for a basic mani/pedi for 30 minutes with no color on my nails. Disappointing

I knew they were busy and I was okay waiting since I had a free day. They asked me to check in and pick a color. When you check in, you are presented with a menu of options...with no prices, no details, just blind picking. That seemed weird to me. They sat me down right away and had me out my feet in the water. It was about 10 minutes till anyone got to me. Which, again, they were swamped and I was enjoying the massage chair. The lady came over and handed me 2 sheets of options. No idea what the difference was she just told me to choose one. I wanted the hot stone massage so I asked for whatever

Absolutely the worst experience at a nail salon. Went during a busy time and technicians were sloppy and careless. These services were overpriced and not worth the amount spent. Additionally, the minimum amount of tip requested was 25%. This has happened too many times here and we will not return again.

Seriously overpriced for such simple nail looks. When my friend and I showed the nail techs photos of what we wanted they both said they could not do such looks as it would take 2 hours to do and cost $150 each. They were quite polite except with that encounter. The nail tech took a few phone calls while doing my nails and apologized for it but it was still a rude gesture.

This place is seriously a joke - it's over priced and I've never left happy with how my nails look. I usually leave with a junky looking, THICK, dip manicure and bleeding cuticles. I only go there bc it's the closest salon to my apartment and they talk walk ins, but I'm not going back anymore. Went in for just a dip removal today and the pic shows what i left with - half the dip was still on my nails. I was getting too annoyed to ask her to keep working on them. Mind you, they're the ones that did the original dip manicure that i was getting removed.

I have been going to plaza nails for at least 4 years. So has my family. I have never had a negative thing to say, in fact I only have given high recommendations for their technicians and owner Kevin. Today, was not one of those days. After a hospital stay my nails were due and I was so excited to get to leave the house after becoming ill. The older male tech sat at station 6. He asked if I wanted my nails trimmed down and I said yes, after doing so he asked what shape I wanted. He proceeded to tell me I should have said something before allowing him to cut my nails cause now they are too short

It was our first time going to Plaza Nails. We weren't from town but we figured since we were shopping around the area we would stop by and get our nails done first. Both my mom and my sister asked for gel and they came out really nice. My nails on the other hand, looked like a 5 year old did them. My nieces AND nephew probably could've done a better job. I did not complain about them because I hate embarrassing anyone for their work but the lady that did my mom's nails knew I wasn't happy with them. She came over and asked if they were messed up and I showed her... thankfully

Racist establishment
Felt like my family and I were not welcomed from the time we walked in.
I requested the basic pedicure service and was not given a massage or hot towel. When I asked the owner about this, she started, "I watched the cameras and we did give this to you." I asked to see the camera and another owner (male) comes over and says, "the camera doesn't show anything. Just take $5 off. I expressed I didn't want free service. Just to be respected as a customer. They have blocked me from IG and their social media sites. Btw: my toes and nails are subpar to say

I am a frequent flyer at this nail salon. For the most part they do really basic manicures really well. I come in about once or twice a month to have a dip manicure done. The nail salon is always clean, the texts are always friendly, and I've never had to wait very long if I do a walk in appointment. It is essentially the Jiffy Lube of nail salons in Kansas City; get in, get out, get your nails.
If you're looking for more intricate or trendy designs, I think there's other nail salons in South Plaza in Brookside that might be a better fit for you. I would say this nail salon is

After being a long time client, I get pushed off to other employees who completely disregard the photo I showed them. I always tip very well. The photo I showed them is obviously a painted French manicure which is a new nail trend. I won't be back. After years of coming. If you're a new client, you're in luck. They will treat you well until they recognize you.
Attached photos are of what I wanted, and what I got.
They didn't even care to do what I wanted. I usually tip 15-20, more if they care. And wanted to get me out as fast as possible. If you want some basic gel color

Just really disappointed overall.
My wife and I stopped in for a little Sunday afternoon, treat yourself pedicure, and chose this business due to other Yelpers' reviews.
We both opted for the Deluxe Pedicure, which included a massage and leg mask.
It seemed like my technician was in a rush to get to lunch because my massage was over before it started and she put in zero effort. My 'special' mask was rinsed off after a minute and I never felt the tingle.
My wife said that the gentleman that worked with her gave her a decent massage and her session lasted about 10 minutes longer
