Services
The Nix family founded Wetumka's first funeral home in the early part of the 1900s. The funeral home was ran out of the back of the hardware store, because in those days most undertakers did their funeral directing part time while practicing carpentry as their primary trade. Most people had their funerals in their own home, so funeral directors simply provided caskets and a few other furnishings.
Staff members of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Donnie Williamson received his bachelor of science degree in funeral service and mortuary science from the University of Central Oklahoma.
The Wetumka office hosts the Williamson-Spradlin Chapel as well as our central offices. Most of the day to day work is conducted here. This facility has one state room to serve viewings, visitations, and wake services and a modest chapel that can accommodate such services as well as funerals.

Robert Spradlin also manages monument and gravestone offerings, and the grounds of the funeral home contains a display area for customers interested in raising a monument in a loved one's memory.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
