From the early days of Lawhead Press in Athens, OH, through the various locations as Pony-X-Press Printing Services, up to today's PXPOHIO, we have always put the customer first. The roots of PXPOHIO go all the way back to 1911 in Athens County, Ohio. There, a company known as The Lawhead Press, Inc. began as a full-service commercial printer serving Athens to Columbus, Ohio, as well as Parkersburg and Charleston, West Virginia.
In 1995, PXPOHIO was the first printer in Central Ohio to initially implement Waterless Printing Technology, and later became the first commercial printer in the state to use a chemistry free printing plate, eliminating all possible Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from the printing process. VOCs are air pollutants that contribute to greenhouse effects and are linked to several public health issues.
If your print project requires high quality at high quantities, offset printing could be the perfect solution for you. Offset printing creates crisp, accurate and clean color reproductions at any volume. PXPOHIO uses Stochastic (FM) Screening, a high definition printing process which produces richer, more vibrant color, fine detail, more clarity and sharper images without the rosette dot pattern found in conventional printing.
