This is a very common question. There are different kinds of experiences during the treatment process. Some patients feel almost no sensation, some feel slight sensation, and others feel that it can be intense at times. Different acupuncture points provide different levels of intensity and usually reflect a patients "prognosis".

You can arrive approximately 15-30 minutes early for your appointment and fill it out in the waiting room. After checking in for your appointment, Francis will follow up on the information you provided in your intake forms and may ask you a series of detailed questions about any health problems or symptoms you might be having.

I was in Stockton for an event and tried full body accupuncture for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked to relieve my lower back pain. I noticed a big difference the next morning. I cannot recommend Francis at Uyayi highly enough. My only wish is that his practice was closer to my home.

While 8 months pregnant, I was experiencing extreme discomfort and pain from pregnancy related issues. I wasn’t fond of acupuncture because of my fear of needles, however, I was desperate for relief. Francis treated me right away and accommodated me into his schedule. He was gentle and very knowledgeable of the practice. He explained to me how the energy works together to flow and relive pain. Francis is a such a gifted healing professional. I visited him due to exhaustion, depletion in my energy levels and other related symptoms. He made me comfortable with his calming presence right away. Being an alternate health professional myself, I can attest to his clinical proficiency in assessing my imbalance. If needles scare you, you can be at ease with Francis. His skill in putting needles in the right points is admirable. I didn't feel much. Of course, it was due to his great personality and his compassionate approach. I was not rushed which is rare. He also went on to explain the cause

Francis is a gifted acupuncturist who has treated me for numerous injuries and ailments over the years. He is incredibly knowledgeable, effective and above all caring and willing to walk you through the steps he is taking as well as answer any question you may have especially when you are new to acupuncture. My son separated the growth plate in his arm playing baseball. And while he went through traditional PT, Francis also treated him which truly supported his recovery. I can’t say enough about Francis!

I cannot recommend Francis enough. He is a truly gifted acupuncturist, and I was privileged to be the recipient of his healing gifts along my own health journey. I have worked with several acupuncturists, but my experience with Francis was transformative. Each session was different, but I consistently felt positive results, including better sleep, decreased pain, decreased anxiety, and an overall sense of calm and peace. Francis answered my many questions along the way, but he also reminded me to stay grounded with intention in the present moment and cautioned me to overthink the acupuncture process
