The Lounge offers finely prepared classic and craft cocktails, high-end bar food, live entertainment nightly, and an intimate, yet relaxed atmosphere. We do not charge a cover fee, but we request that customers honor a purchased beverage, per person (2 per on Friday & Saturday), during live entertainment.

Love the Dresden and will miss Marty, he's a legend in LA. The food is fantastic and the service impecable, looks like they touched up the bar as well, but left the cool vintage vibe as is. The updated menu is great and the drinks are on point. Evenings won't be the same without Marty and Elayne and I hope the Dresden keep their spirit alive.

Always had a great experience here. Had some amazing fancy drinks, including one of the best fancy drink I ever had (was something w a raw egg white...never thought I'd like it but it was really good) . The live music (esp the piano duo) always made for a great experience. This was my preferred bar to go to when I wanted a place I was familiar and comfortable with in the area.

In a neighborhood where restaurants can change weekly The Dresden has been there for... well a lot of years I'm not going to do the math, and the reason for that is that the place is great. They have a lounge and a the much fancier restaurant we stopped in on our way to a movie and immediately made plans to return for a nice dinner since we were just stopping for a quick bite and drinks in the lounge. The menu in the lounge has some nice variety the hostess was not wrong when she said that we would not leave hungry. The Mac and Cheese was amazing, I had a nice wedge salad and a steak sandwich

Eh. That's the one word I'd use to describe The Dresden. I went here for Thanksgiving and the experience was really underwhelming.
Except for our busser/runner who was extremely friendly and attentive, the service was overall very snooty. I'm not sure if they thought my friend and I were dressed too casual (which is ridiculous since some patrons arrived wearing hats and athleisure), or they saw how young we were and assumed we wouldn't tip well.
We also felt rushed during our dinning experience, especially towards the end of our meal. Our server dropped off the check with

I had a last-minute request for a group of 12. It is stated that they normally require 24 hours for large groups, however Mark was able to get back to me and set this up just hours before. Unfortunately, we had multiple people drop out of the dinner plan, but Ava, the hostess, stepped up and handled it like a champ. They definitely jump through hoops for up and we had a fabulous time in the lounge. Everything was wonderful. Thanks again.

Lofty rambles create the sense of limited seating without completely disguising a commodious dining room, and dim lighting over stark contrasts creates an intimacy of islands. The decor is that of another era without using overstatement to awe the untrained eye.
Calamari was par for the course, though the marinara was noteworthy.

I just LOVE this place. The food, the vibe, the people. This is it. This place is a true hidden gem. Old Hollywood vibes. My salmon was phenomenal. I had a dark & stormy to drink, which packed a strong punch in the best way possible. Yummmm!! My date got the chicken piccata, and he really enjoyed it. We were both stuffed after. It was pretty packed for a Friday night. Great for people watching. Wish they had live music in the lounge area, but maybe they will bring that back soon. Recommend!!!

I would never ever recommend this restaurant. It was filled with snobby, misinformed staff. Essentially, we were given the wrong information by the host at the front of the restaurant. And, when we explained the situation to the hostess and then the manager, they were unapologetic about the poor communication with their staff and they treated us as if we were at fault. They humiliated my party and we decided to leave.

Ok experience. Ambiance is nice and staff is friendly. Garlic bread is just bread with garlic powder on it. Meh. Had the shrimp risotto, shrimp was bland a bit over cooked. Risotto was runny and rice was undercooked, slightly hard. Left me feeling a bit sick in the hours afterwards. Nice place probably for the drinks and ambiance. Truly a nice interior, but food is lacking

I was being followed very closely by a stranger for a few blocks so I ducked into the Dresden and to my dismay he followed me in and sat down next to me facing me at the bar. I had no idea how to handle it and I made a plea for help to the bartender basically in my expression alone and he got the hint and handled asking him to leave so calmly and politely. He and another bartender (I wish I got their names) made sure I was okay, checking in on me and making

Super dark, 2 entries in back alleyway that makes it feel so cool and old school (that also seems to have great parking, might have to pay but better than looking around)
The very cute/ nice bartender recommended me the yummiest blonde beer that I sadly cannot remember the name of, but it was so crisp, almost creamy and he poured it so perfectly!
I only wish I had gotten food as well, this place looks like they'd have amazing steak lol but this only means I only have to come back which I'm totally not complaining!

The ambiance was great and I had high hopes for this place! My fiance and I came here for a nice dinner and I was very upset to be greated by a rude server, whom declined to give his name, but by looks alone was a short bald man. Our drinks were delightful but took a very long time given it being a weeknight and very slow. I definitely felt like our server didn't care about us at all!!!
I ordered the filet that was good but wasn't memorable at all! The broccolini was SO undercooked it was almost inedible!! Not impressed at all.

Had to change the venue for my birthday at the last minute because of stupidity on the part of another bar (see my review of the Prince). Hadn't been to The Dresden in eons and a friend suggested it. It worked out perfectly. They let us take over about 1/4 of the bar area, which was a comfortable amount of space for 20+ people. All of the staff were terrific. The bartenders whipped up delicious cocktails fast enough to keep us satiated for around 3 hours. When the inevitable buzz-kill of sorting out the came, Bonnie was so accommodating! She said however we wanted to handle it was fine and

I had the prime rib and a french 75. I've had better prime rib elsewhere and there was a bug in my drink. Not their fault but it added to the my okay experience. I think the bar side of the restaurant is more lively, so I suggest you sit there. We sat on the quieter side and I think the lighting was off. I had kind of an off experience here, probably would not go back.

THE AMBIANCE:
We always go at nighttime and are regulars at this point. The Dresden is my fiance's favorite bar. They have live music featuring Marty, Elayne, and guests, a bar on the right, and a restaurant on the left.
THE BARTENDER:
Renny! Love his whiskey sours and I have to say that they are the best that I have had in LA. The other bartenders that work here are cool people, too.
THE LIVE MUSIC:
We always have a good time listening to the band and the guests that sing during the night. The style of music is a mix between funky and old school

I've only been here 2x for drinks only. Old famous establishment for Swingers Movie, Madmen show and more. Very old place with fantastic cocktails.
If you plan to sit then yes there is a 2 drink minimum. Or you can just order at the bar, and sit/stand there IF there are any space (rarely for a weekend). There is standing room on side's of the bar.

Absolutely love this place! I was there last night for the first time. Definitely a good spot to sit at the bar and have some drinks. They also have food which I didn't try. They have a dinning area in the back. Also live music on Wednesday nights! Parking in the rear. The bartenders are polite and quick.
