Atlas Wood Floors Inc offers a full hardwood floor survey and installation service, for domestic, commercial and retail clients. All of our installers are fully trained and experienced in fitting high quality hardwood floors, ensuring every aspect, from sub-floor preparation through finishing and ongoing maintenance.
I want to let you know just how extremely pleased we are with the floors and especially the job the crew did. These guys are great and their attention to detail is without question. You can't even tell where the old floor was and the new floor began. These guys made every effort to put things back the way they were which really limited the stress on us.
There are a variety of considerations when choosing a wood floor for your home or business. Wood floor species is one primary consideration. Hardwood species vary in durability, grain patterns, and color. Oak, maple, and cherry are among the most common species due to their hardness. Exotic woods like mahogany, and Brazilian cherry aren't as durable, but are prized for their striking appearance.
Maintain the relative humidity in your home between 45% and 55% because excessive humidity can cause wood fibers to swell, creating cracks in the finish. Step 3 - Using a back and forth motion, clean the sprayed floor surface with a terry cloth covered wood floor mop. When the entire floor is clean, simply remove the mop cover and wash it along with your towels.

I had received a recommendation from a friend to use Atlas so I called them. The rep was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The two employees that sanded, stained and polyed, were very professional and conscientious. My floors look brand new and the photos I posted on Facebook got many wonderful comments. We just used Atlas Wood Floors, Inc. install beautiful “Quincy Oak” luxury vinyl planks in two bathrooms and can’t believe the beautiful transformation. Jeff was prompt and knowledgeable and even drove to the manufacturer to pick-up and then deliver the specific sample colors to our home. The prices are fantastic. We had Alex install the floors… and could not believe how polished and well-done they are. He even cut and painted shoe molding and a threshold on the spot for us as part of the installation. Jan 2021 - We had Atlas install new wood flooring in our family room to match existing wood flooring already present in the remaining areas of the main floor of our house. Atlas was able to tooth the new floor into the existing, and refinish the entire floor to be one consistent color. It turned out great! the floor is absolutely beautiful. What a great experience I had when Atlas refinished all the wood floors in my house (6 rooms, 6 closets, entryway, two staircases, and a hallway). I was procrastinating the job for years, for fear of so much dust and work. To my extreme satisfaction, they were professional from start to finish. They communicated exactly what I was to do for prep, and how they would accomplish the job. They even got done a day early, and when I returned to my home, I was stunned by the beauty and how much clean-up they did--so little dust remained! It's like I have a brand new home.
