Dr. Patrick Trenary had been in practice for some years as an associate doctor. He took everything he learned and applied it to his new chiropractic care center, allowing the people in the Mason City and Clear Lake communities to benefit from his training and experience. It's our team's goal to help everyone who walks in the door here.
My name is Brandy Rossmiller, I am a Chiropractic Assistant to Dr. Trenary. I previously worked for a chiropractor in the Quad Cities before moving to the area and starting at Active Family Chiropractic. I love working in such a positive and friendly environment. After five years working on the hydraulics of F-18 fighter jets as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, Dr. Trenary was wrapping up his military career and looking for his next adventure. A good friend was entering chiropractic school, and Dr. Trenary found chiropractic to be an appealing idea.
After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Trenary spent five years practicing in Louisville, KY, before returning home to Iowa and opening Active Family Chiropractic.He is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), assessing and treating problems of the extremity joints in addition to the spine.

Your spine contains a total of 24 segments, each separated by a disc. The thicker that disc is, the less likely there will be pressure on the joints and the nerves that exit between the vertebrae. The problem is, the discs themselves have no blood supply. Your spinal discs require motion to pull in nutrients.

We are so thankful to have found Active Family Chiropractic! We have always been welcomed into the office with a smile by Brandy or Cory and Dr. Trenary has been so wonderful to work with! He listens to every concern I have as a parent and also makes sure the kids feel comfortable before making any adjustments. We are very happy with our experience at Active Family Chiropractic!

Active Family Chiropractic truly treats you like family! As soon as you walk through the door you are warmly welcomed by the wonderful ladies at the desk. Dr. Trenary listens and does an amazing job taking care of whatever issues you may be having. He takes his time and I never feel rushed through a visit. Corey also does an amazing job with massages in a relaxing environment. So convenient to have both of these types of care in one place. Great team!

Best place to help you get yourself healthy & keep you there. If you are looking for a good massage, I just had an awesome one there. They truely care about their clients and want to see you healthy. Dr Tenary took time to explain everything to me in ways I could understand(not using just medical terms). The gals in the office are the best, you can feel they care about you not just there for the pay check. I feel like family when I walk in the door.

The staff at Active Family are very through and make sure you are comfortable with what they are doing. I called late morning and explained my pain and that I had never been to their office before and they were able to get me in that day. Everything was explained to me before anything was done and it was my decision if I wanted to have it done. I felt like they cared about me as their patient and not just a $ sign.
