Peggy graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Cerritos College in 1993. Her licensure includes the Expanded Functions of local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation, and gingival curettage. Peggy has been working with Dr. Schumm's office for 20 years now and says "I love how the office is so patient-centered, with providing the care that our patients truly need being our primary focus."
Dr. Schumm and our team will work with you to find the best solution to a vibrant, confident smile! Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of teeth. They are an option for correcting stained, chipped, decayed or crooked teeth. Porcelain veneers or porcelain laminates, are wafer thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front of teeth to create a cosmetic improvement.
Mouth guards, also called mouth protectors, help cushion a blow to the face, minimizing the risk of broken teeth and injuries to your lips, tongue, face or jaw. They typically cover the upper teeth and are a great way to protect the soft tissues of your tongue, lips and cheek lining. Knowing how to prevent injuries like these is especially important if you participate in organized sports or other recreational activities.
Dr. Schumm and his team take great pride in treating your dental needs in the context of overall personal health and wellness, not just on performing procedures. In cases where Dr. Schumm feels your situation would benefit from the specialists, he will refer you to those colleagues in the community that he respects and works with most.
Dental hygiene is an important part of your overall health care regimen. Our office is committed to providing you optimum cleanings and regular evaluations. Detecting issues early is important to maintaining your oral health, saving your natural teeth and preventing costly dental emergencies. Tartar (also referred to as calculus) and plaque buildup, both above and below the gum line, can result in serious periodontal problems.

BEST dentist in Orange County! Our family has been going to him for 17 years and he has always been honest and upfront about any dental work we needed (or didn't need) for us and our kids. You won't find a kinder, friendlier staff than at Dr. Schumm's office. And the hygeniests and Danielle are the best!
