Me and my wife fell victim to a traumatizing HEPA violation here. The front desk clerk, Julie Corey, the wife of my chief of the boat while I was stationed on the USS West Virginia had told him about the issues we were having at the OBGYN. I actually received a call, after we had decided to transfer our care, from my cob, there was a list of things that were said like "I'm not supposed to be talking about it but...." indicating he knew what he was doing was wrong. My husband’s friends referred us to come see this doctor. Since we are new to the area and this is my first time being pregnant I wanted to make sure we find a great doctor. I called to see if they’re accepting new patients and if I can book an appointment. The representative asked me a few questions and provided me with a date. I asked if they had anything sooner and she said “If I do not like the date I can look somewhere else” which I was appalled that she even suggested that and I replied with “okay, thank you”. I went here during my pregnancy with my first born. Dr. Mixson and his staff are absolutely amazing. They truly care about all of their patients and it really shows. I had to have a c-section, and Dr. Mixson made it so easy and did such a wonderful job on my surgery. When my son had to be taken to the NICU in Jacksonville, FL, he called me from his personal cell to check on us. I'm currently pregnant with my second but I live back home in Alabama. I wish I could still see Dr. Mixson and his staff!

I had my 1st appt with Dr Mixon's office with Midwife Sahrphillips today (I am a new patient due to my doc retiring). I was very impressed with how comfortable that they made me feel and how thorough my visit was. I am confident that I made a great decision by choosing to transfer to Dr Mixon's care.

I would recommend Dr. Mixson and his midwives to anyone. My husband and I recently moved to the area and found out a few months later that we were expecting. I had a great obgyn in Michigan, so I was nervous about who would be available here. I feel so blessed and so lucky to have discovered Dr. Mixson. If I ever get pregnant again I’m coming back here. The midwives are there for you every step of the way. They really care. And you’ll never leave the office unsure about anything or scared. They really take the time to explain everything. This is a great place for first time moms. I can’t put into words how wonderful this place is. And they do ultrasounds there ( some places don’t) and if you think something’s wrong they will do small ultrasounds

I saw Frances (midwife) and she was amazing as was the rest of the staff. Frances was not the BS type, she was very upfront and honest but in the most professional way. She didn't make you feel like an idiot for voicing your concerns like some doctors tend to do. The nurses were so sweet and made you feel so comfortable. I had to have my blood drawn and my veins were not cooperating, and naturally I am prone to fainting so they kept me talking and distracted while they got the blood drawn to keep me alert and fine. I was just so happy with my experience and I would recommend them to anybody.

I recently moved to the area from outside Baltimore and D.C. and I was used to having a fast paced OB/GYN where each appointment was in and out as quick as possible. During my first visit, I met the staff and Dr. Mixson and this office is so warm and welcoming! Too bad I didn't move down here 10 years ago before I was pregnant with my first! I definitely recommend all moms to schedule your care here!

Best Dr EVER! I had him for my last 2 pregnancies. Before, during and after care was the best out of my 4 labor & deliveries. He is a wonderful human being with AWESOME bedside manners. I don't care where I am in the world if we get pregnant again I'm coming back to G.A .

I have had the best experience with Dr. Mixson and his staff. I recently was in the hospital for some issues and Dr. Mixson was there every step of the way . He made sure i had good care and checked in on me regularly just to make sure i was ok. He reassured me and answered all my questions and called me to make my experience less traumatic.
