All movers were friendly, followed instructions and worked hard for 14 hours with a short break for lunch. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Born Moving was a great choice in helping me move. This is the first time I actually hired out someone to help me move. As a family we usually just spent our entire weekend moving and unpacking. This time I decided to get someone to help. Born Moving was the best in helping smooth our transition from one home to the other. They were so good in fact that I recommended them to my significant other who used them to move her two months after my recommendation!! Professional! On-time! Courteous! Responsive! BM's team was respectful & responsive to all special requests. And all things that could possible break or get scratched were wrapped in moving blankets and carefully moved. That process took longer than expected but all things got moved successfully without an accident.

Born Moving is an AWESOME moving company! They have great customer service and the owner is honest and very friendly! He made my moving day so easy, they showed up on time and worked efficiently and made sure to be careful with all my boxes and belongings. I've worked with other moving companies in the past and have never had an experience like I've had with Born Moving. The owner went above and beyond to help me. Scheduling a date was super easy and convenient too, they make the whole process so easy and stress free. If you're considering hiring a moving company definitely check these guys out

Beware of this company. I don't usually post reviews but this place deserves a bad review. These guys are set on getting you with "affordable prices" and price gouging you at the end for 3x what the cost should be. I had a small move of a couch and a loveseat from Hillsborough to Glen park (14 miles). Had a phone call with Duane ahead of time stating the cost would be a flat rate of $255 per working hour. Thinking this would be a quick easy move taking max an hour, I was fine with it. This guy had the nerve to try to charge me for him driving to the pick up spot, then taking TWO

Duane and Born moving were a really great choice during my move inthe San Francisco bay area during the Pandemic. Duane and his guys all wore masks, even before it was mandatory by the state. They were thoughtful with my furniture and made very efficient regarding time. Also, one of my items was left in the truck and Duane was great to drop it as well as reimburse me for a replacement lamp shade. There prices are on par with what it costs to move in the Bay area and worth the service. Thank you Duane.

Hired 3 movers and a truck they were an hour late getting to the property. Spent more time wrapping things up then actually moving. The owner spent 20 minutes in the bathroom at each location. He also was on his phone almost every time I saw him. All movers took a 30 minute break which we were charged for. Charged for drive time there and back. Tried to over charge me for drive time. Said they were 20 minutes from us when in reality they were 45 and tried to charge for 1.5 hours each way. Damaged our plants and very expensive dining room table. When I contacted the owner about this he responded

I was moving units within the same building, so I was planning on doing 90% of this move myself. I just needed help moving 3 larger heavier items. I got quotes from many moving companies, and went with Born Moving because they had a tier where they charged for labor-only with no minimum amount of time - all other companies had 2 or 3-hr minimums and just included way more than I needed. I saw some reviews of Born Moving that made me nervous ... but I had a good experience with them. Duane and his partner showed up early, and we had all the furniture moved in a little over an hour. They were fast

I talked with Duane last Saturday and told him that I have a small job moving 1.5 miles in San Francisco for a small one bedroom.
He told me that their rate is $315 flat not saying anything about hourly rate. So I gladly accepted and Tuesday that was my move they came and started taking my prepackaged boxes and disassembled furniture for 6 hours!! I didn't think that they are trying to delay to get paid more since Duane told me the rate is flat 315.
By the time the offloaded everything to my new place which was 1.5 miles away he showed me a bill for $2400!!! I couldn't believe what he

Worst moving experience EVER!
Karen (receptionist), and Duane (owner) are liars and will tell you anything to get your business.
Moved last summer from San Leandro to Oakland, from a 1BD apartment to another 1BD apartment.
Talked to Karen, who seemed really friendly and chatty and more than willing to take my $450 deposit by credit card to secure my moving date.
No contract, just a text message from her personal cell phone confirming my moving date.
Moving day, movers show up over 2 hours late. I'm desperately calling Karen, who doesn't answer my calls, of course. I even try calling

Let's just say overpriced and waited 8 hours. I mean broke the personal record. I've moved from emeryville to south city with another company for $300. This time, I've moved from south city to Hayward and its $600 & I have to wait for 8 hours when i need it to move way before the horrid landlady. I'm moving out again Oct 1st but most definitely not using them anymore. You left me no choice. 4.27.18

BE VERY CAREFUL!!! If I could give negative stars for our experience today, I would. Duane, the owner has no integrity. Shame on him for running a business built on taking advantage of people, rather that providing a quality service for such an important life event.
Ps, the crew he sent was very nice, but HIGHLY unskilled and with zero training. They did not know how to unpack and or breakdown boxes, and could not put furniture together- which is what I hired them for.
I told him I needed movers for about 2-2.5 hours max, but on the day of, Duane said that there was a 4 hour minimum for all
