The curriculum is developed to encourage independence and teach responsibility, so each child can view themselves as competent learners and allow them to bring their own interests, life experiences, strengths and needs to the program in a happy and nurturing setting.

Life as a preschool teacher has always been an outlet of great joy and constant creativity for me. After many years of teaching Daycare within the surrounding community, I came to Dover to teach in 1998. It was an opportunity to create a start up, one classroom preschool where I would be the sole teacher and the Director.

Our passion and talent for teaching comes from a personal desire within each one of us to share in the moment by moment growth of every child.
A three week unit to learn hands on what pioneers endured as they traveled from Independence, Missouri to Oregon City, Oregon in a covered wagon! To understand the experience we packed our covered wagon, stopping on the trail at the General Store and camped out. Explore 5 of America's great National Parks, Acadia in Maine, Mammoth Caves in Kentucky, Yellowstone in Wyoming, Everglades in Florida and Sequoia National Park in California.
This is a stronger, advanced program designed to meet the needs of the older child who is preparing for kindergarten next year. Additional skills such as journaling, handwriting and alphabet recognition are worked on in the classroom.
We extend the loving learning environment of home into the classroom for the very young child and our caring staff shares in the play experience and present meaningful learning opportunities to make that first experience a positive and happy one.This exciting program combines the warmth of the younger Preschool Program with the challenge of the Pre-K Program.
