I was moving back to oakhurst from Florida so I was in contact with Vanessa (the apartments manager) who was a pleasure to deal with. She is very polite, responsive, and professional. I was approved for an apt, put down a deposit and was so ready to move in! Unfortunately me getting covid put a hold on my move in date and then my aunts health declining canceled the move in completely. I was so thankful for Vanessa and San mar properties to be so empathetic and understanding by giving me back my deposit. I will definitely keep them in the mind for the future.

Vanessa Cooper the Resident Manager was the most courteous, professional, and understanding Manager I have worked with. She guided us through the process to become a future residents of your lovely Oakhurst complex. We enjoyed a very comfortable feeling working with Vanessa. Her knowledge of her job is impeccable.

I’ve been living at Vista Heights for 4 years now and it just gets better and better! Our new manager, Vanessa, is doing such a great job running this property. She’s super sweet and professional. I’m glad to have such great people taking care of my home. Our maintenance man, Erik, does a wonderful job as well. They are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I feel lucky to be here. I’d 10/10 recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a nice place to live. Everything is kept so clean and nice, weekly yard maintenance, they go above and beyond to make sure tenants are doing well and

I have been a resident at Vista Heights for 22 years.
Over the years I have witnessed several managers. Some really strict and others, not so much. In the short time that Vanessa has been our manager, she has gotten a lot accomplished.
If I have a problem, she is quick to fix it! I am VERY excited to see what else she has planned for us here at vista heights!
I would also like to give a big shout out to our maintenance guy Eric. He is absolutely amazing! We are very lucky to have him!

San Mar deserves more than ten stars for the service it provides. We had family members running our complex and they were stealing us blind, both in terms of what they were charging us and with the way they would buy things for the apartments but then somehow those parts would wind up on their construction projects. We needed a lot of help and fast. I interviewed six property management companies, and San Mar was the outstanding candidate both in terms of professionalism and just the feeling that we could work with and rely on the staff. Marc assigned Angel to our account, and she led their team

I'm a new tenant at one of the properties in the mountains. Vanessa is friendly and professional. Quick response time and great communication. The process from start to finish was a breeze. Erik, building maintenance, is appreciated as well. They work well together to take care of tenant needs and that was very apparent from the start. Apartment is clean and moderately updated.

I've worked for San Mar Properties Inc. for 4 years now and have nothing but good things to say. They have always been family oriented and understanding. They truly want there employees to succeed. I enrolled in the company 401(k) as soon as I was eligible. I decided to go back to school after 2 years of working for San Mar. I was able to use the money I had saved in my 401(k) to pay for all of my schooling. San Mar also was flexible with my school schedule and allotted any time off I needed for class and even time to prep for tests. San Mar is a great employer and property management company

My family owns a few rental houses and I think we were all really dreading the idea of managing them ourselves, again. I sure was glad to have found San Mar Properties. We were in serious need of "asset stabilization." Equally important was finding a communicative and ethical property manager who we could entrust with the care of our properties and tenants, and the competence to do so without bankrupting us all.
We dropped quite the project on Lisa and crossed our fingers. We called her, a lot. She took our calls, answered our questions, and told us what she needed. It was refreshing

I suppose I'm from the opposite side of the equation, but I am a property owner who has entrusted two of his properties to SanMar. They have done an absolutely amazing job of stabilizing the assets, keeping costs down and keeping the units rented. We manage our own properties in another city and have been blown away with how well they run their team down in Fresno.

I second the above mentioned post. I dont do negative reviews, but felt like this was well deserved.
2 months ago my mother was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, spread to her organs. She was given 2 months to live. I promptly moved her out and to my home out of town. I let the apartment complex know she was 1) terminally ill, provided progress note from her oncologist stating she needs around the clock care and to be moved out of her apartment on her own, to my home, with 100% care needed as she could not walk, eat on her own or leave the bed, and 2) that she was on hospice care with

I'm really disappointed in this property management company. They are so unprofessional and have no clue what's going on with their tenants. I rarely write reviews but this is a must... The negative reviews are right! If you are looking for a place to rent please save yourself from the headache and go somewhere else. I put down a $1600 deposit and lived in the house for 11 months and they made up so many "things that needed to be fixed" to the property I ended up with only a $400 deposit return. Not to mention the women there at the office are rude and their maintenance men
