Now that your braces are in place, it is very important to maintain a good oral hygiene regimen throughout the length of your treatment. Braces, wires, bands and retainers can all trap food particles and make it difficult to brush or floss away plaque. Careful brushing and flossing, preferably after every meal and snack, is the best way to prevent plaque build-up, tooth decay and gum disease.

Today I had my initial appointment to start the process for my braces for the next 24 months. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable including the front desk staff. Sophia was my assistant specialist for today. She made the process very smooth. She made sure I knew each step as we went through the process. The wiring of my teeth was fast and painless. I received an after care bag and a post consultation to answer all my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend Dr. Risinger and his staff if you're thinking about enhancing your smile.

As a dental professional, I have worked alongside the amazing crew at Gulf Coast Orthodontics for years! Highly recommend! From the moment we walked in, the staff was very attentive. My son was super nervous about getting his braces today. Irma was our assistant and she was soooo nice and sweet! She was very patient and explained every step to my son. She answered any and all questions we had. Thank you, Irma!!! Dr. Nelson is a very friendly guy. He really makes you feel at ease and relaxed. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would! Dr. Risinger has the sweetest, most patient and amazing staff! My daughter and I were a little nervous about getting our appliances and they put us right at ease. From the time you walk in from the time you leave you are greeted with a smile and treated as though you are a VIP. Would recommend this doctor and staff a million times!!

Dr. Nelson and staff always give the BEST service. It’s always a pleasure going in! You get nothing but smiles as soon as you check in. I wish I could give 10 stars, really. These are the sweetest, most professional people, doesn't matter who takes care of you. I became a patient of Dr. Risinger 18 years ago, and though I have been out of braces a VERY long time, today they replaced my broken retainer at no cost to me. They still treated me like a VIP, just as they always did before, I'm sure to everyone. The office and equipment is always spotless and state of the art. Also, they take COVID prevention seriously, which I appreciate. And even though he didn't have to, Dr Risinger came over and checked in to see how I've been all
