Services
The Kids Are First curriculum is divided into four subject areas: Language Arts, Art Experience, Science & Math and Gym & Music. Children move with their class through the school with their class teacher. Each subject area is visited for a 45 minute period and the movement from one area to the next contributes to an overall balance.
The After School Program is a school year program for students who attend Grades 1 through 6 at local Pennridge elementary schools as well as who have a younger sibling attending the Kids Are First school program. We offer both before and after school care. Our transportation will drop off/pick up your child from his/her elementary school.
I am a parent of a three year old and a five year old at Kids are First. My children feel safe, love the teachers they learn from, and are excited about learning and going to school. My kids are always talking about all of the activities they do each day and I feel that Kids Are First is giving them an amazing start to their education!
Our camp is dedicated to the concept that a child's summer should above all be FUN! We are a traditional day camp offering a wide variety of activities to help your child gain self-esteem and learn confidence, responsibility, cooperation, communication and teamwork. We also offer a combination of different sports as well as traditional activities such as arts & crafts.
I graduated from Temple University with a degree in Health and Physical Education. I have taught grades K-12 in the Philadelphia School District. I've also worked at a local preschool in jobs varying from infant facility, athletic director, lifeguard and preschool teacher. I have been the director of Kids Are First since 2006, I love keeping busy with the kids and I love coming to work everyday!
