Pennock Center For Counseling
Pennock Center for Counseling offers professional counseling, parenting and educational programs, and support groups. We see adults, couples, families, adolescents and children. Learn more about our services. Pennock Center for Counseling is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit counseling center in Brighton, Colorado serving the greater Brighton community and surrounding rural areas.

The center exists to fill a gap in mental health services by increasing access to care through the use of our sliding fee scale to determine fees. The center also adjusts fees to meet the needs of those experiencing financial hardship. We offer the community low or no cost classes and groups as well as a no cost senior outreach program.
Services
Pennock Center for Counseling is a nonprofit counseling center founded by past community member, Mary "Penny" Pennock, and the First Presbyterian Church of Brighton, Colorado. We provide counseling and psycho educational services to all community members regardless of income, religious affiliation or life situation.
Pennock Center for Counseling was incorporated in 1983 when a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brighton, Mary "Penny" Pennock, had a vision of helping people in need of counseling. Pennock Center originally was called the Ministry of Care to reflect the desire to faithfully serve others and carry out the mission of the ministry: caring for others.
A safe, confidential therapeutic relationship between our clients and therapists forms the basis for all of our counseling services. We understand that it can be difficult to seek help and we strive to make our center a safe and comfortable place. We see counseling as a collaborative effort, with client and therapist together setting goals and working towards solutions.

I spoke to my Medicaid advisor they told me to look online to see what therapist in my area take Medicaid so I did. The first one on there are these guys but yet when I emailed them I was told I need to have private insurance. When I told them I was on Medicaid or I was going to pay cash I got no answer so obviously it's about bilking insurance money and not helping people thanks for nothing!!
If you don't want to help POOR people on Medicaid take your name off the damn list there's people out here that need help while you're bullshiting over insurance companies!!

My daughter was assigned to Rachel. Rachel was incredibly pushy to me. She did not listen to what I had to say and “scolded” me in front of my daughter. Her tactic seems to be to divide the family to gain the trust of the client. We decided to change therapists - Rachel called and scolded me again over the phone. As an adult, I did not feel like being yelled at by someone over the phone. I cut her off, politely said “thank you”, and hung up the phone. She tried to call me back after that. Yikes. I would think, being a counselor, that she would be more in control of herself and not feel
