Services
Many visitors from out of town are interested in the architecture, woodwork, and the variety of stained and leaded glass windows and doors of our funeral home. James and Mary Moore built the home in the late 19th century. In the early 1900's, Edward P. and Elizabeth Moore purchased the property. Edward was a son of Milton Moore, owner of the Moore mansion and founder of The Bank of Mitchell in 1882.
A funeral service can be personalized to reflect the life of the individual. We work with organizations and groups to make the service as special as the life we are memorializing. We will take care of filing veteran benefits, notifying social security, and assisting you with any other benefits to which you may be entitled.
We offer Traditional Funeral Services, Same Day Funeral Services, Graveside Services, and Immediate Burial Services. To meet individual needs, we also offer four package programs that include the casket and outer burial container. They are the Warren, Moore, Clements, and Lincoln Packages. We offer a wide selection of metal and wood caskets for traditional funerals as well as outer burial containers.
A green (natural) funeral, or also known as a green burial, is a type of funeral service in which your loved one is returned to the earth as naturally as possible. Green funerals use environmentally friendly caskets & depending on cemetery regulations, an air dome vault or no vault. Embalming may be done using a special type of formaldehyde free fluid.
Keepsakes can be incorporated into any service to make it more meaningful. You tell us what it is that made your loved one so special and we'll give you ideas for personalizing the service and unique keepsakes to remember your loved one. We offer a wide selections of keepsake jewelry. Please feel free to contact our funeral director, Elizabeth Freeman-Cammack, at the funeral home or at (812) 545-1504 for more information.

Albert, Jennie Lee, Elizabeth. and James all worked together to help our family and friends get through the unexpected death of my father-in-law, and help create a send off that he would have liked. They went above and beyond what a funeral home is expected to do, and for that, we will eternally be grateful. Bless you all!
