Located in Fayetteville Arkansas, David W. McKee Architects PLLC is a design focused architecture firm currently consisting of a staff of four. Of these two are licensed architects. As principal designer David McKee AIA, LEED AP is a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas and has been involved in the design and construction of some of the regions' most iconic buildings.
Other firm members bring a variety of experiences and skills to contribute including graphic design, CAD, and project management. 315 Mountain is a recent project that demonstrates the design principles as set forth in the NWA Design Excellence Program. This adaptive reuse structure is a makeover of a building that was originally constructed in 1957 as a tire store, then a restaurant, and finally a mixed use facility housing the Willard and Pat Walker Charitable Foundation.
The home is integrated into the hillside using native stone walls and boulders. Along with the stone, Arkansas Cypress trim and siding help to enhance the home's connection with it's setting. Guest quarters are located on the lower level with the master suite above in this photo. The recessed garage doors, clad in wood siding, create depth and pattern along the garage entrance.
A repeat client of our office has commissioned a new garage to house his collection of rare mid-century automobiles. The garage will have five bays deep enough for two cars each. Two will have recessed car lifts. The roof gently slopes up to to accommodate the required clearance for the lifts.
We use the required roof height to create a dynamic form with cost-effective glazing for the clerestory, the garage design is elevated above a typical industrial building.On the far end, the garage will have a lounge and small bedroom loft overlooking it's agricultural surroundings in northeast Fayetteville.

The Even Pavilion will provide a large rentable assembly space for the Gardens and their visitors. It will be tucked within the larger context of the gardens and have wonderful views of the gardens and the lake. The Community Market will provide a venue for the gardens and local farmers to sell their products to the community.
The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is one of only 117 botanical gardens in the county and one of only 3 in the state. The Mission of the Garden is showcasing the natural beauty of the Ozarks, educating today for a sustainable future, and providing a venue for the community to enjoy entertainment and outdoor recreation.
