If your house has previously been painted, then your only option is to repaint, unless you sand the entire house down to bare wood (which would be extremely labor intensive and costly). Yes, you can paint a previously stained home. However, it does require a total prime coat to ensure the paint has a good surface to adhere to.

Here is my honest review. I have had some time to settle a bit (I was livid initially). Now I am just dissatisfied. My wife and I saved up the money to paint our house. We are both designers so we spent hours mulling over the color selections and were excited once we landed on the three colors. We have been waiting a few years to finally get it painted and had decided on stafford because you see them around town a lot and the reviews seem very positive. I will outline my experience so you can make judgment for yourself.
