We teach and train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for everyone! Regardless of your size, strength, age, weight and gender, we teach efficient techniques that are highly effective against even a bigger and stronger opponent. With a little understanding of timing, positioning, leverage and body mechanics, you too can capture the skills necessary to progress in this exciting sport and art form.
BJJ is a martial art, sport, and self-defense system that focuses specifically on the ground fighting aspect of a struggle. Despite what the movies may display, most real life struggles between two opponents quickly move from being on their feet to ending up on the ground. And although jiu-jitsu has a variety of effective defense techniques from the feet, the ground game is where jiu-jitsu really shines!

Professor Grant Collins is a well accomplished martial artist. He has earned himself a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Mauricio "Tinguinha" Mariano. Training in martial arts since the age of 16, Grant Collins also holds a second-degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a first degree Black Belt in Hapkido.

Coach Eric and Bill are excellent instructors. There are also visiting black belts that come in and train frequently, so the knowledge base here is great. Even if you don't consider yourself as a physically fit person, jiu jitsu relies on leverage and technique so anyone can do it. It is a great activity for men, women, and kids. Try a class for yourself next time you are in town, and I'm sure you will enjoy the experience. There is a full gym here as well with locker rooms and showers!
