Each of our patients gets Dr. Mustian's full attention during their appointment. We do not have expanded duty dental assistants placing fillings, seating crowns, or adjusting bites. We believe all your dental work should be done by the dentist. It is also our belief that continuity of care is essential and are proud to have had the same hygienists for 12-30 years!

Our practice was founded by Dr. Steve Koral in 1983. Dr. Steve Koral graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1980, and relocated to Boulder, CO to open his practice. Boulder Holistic Dentistry has been mercury free and mercury safe since it opened its doors in 1983.
As an early pioneer in the field of Holistic Dentistry, Dr. Koral testified before the State Legislature and US congress regarding the safety of mercury filling and earned the right for dentists to elect to remove amalgam fillings.

Holistic health and healing has been defined as the consideration of health in the light of all factors - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Unfortunately no one is that transcendant or that smart, and this beautiful ideal has to be tempered by practical realities. The first principle is to be the best, most up-to-date dentists we can be.

The office told me in advance precisely how much the initial consultation/exam would be and the dentist who examined me was very pleasant, candid, and knowledgeable. The meeting was efficient yet thorough, and not rushed.

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Andrea Mustian and have been patients for 8 years.
We found Boulder Holistic Dentistry when our two year old's teeth were coming in with bad enamel on them. After many dentists who wanted to sedate her and do major work on her mouth, it was so refreshing to work with a dentist who really listened to our concerns and who had a holistic approach to my child's teeth. Our two girls LOVE going to the Dentist and have never had a negative experience at this place. The whole staff is Awesome as well. I can not recommend it ENOUGH!! I just got my teeth cleaned by Stacey. I told her that I created a new nickname for her called Smooth Stacey since I've never experienced getting my teeth cleaned without feeling any discomfort whatsoever. On the contrary, it was an enjoyable experience which felt like my gums were getting a nice massage.

I was very impressed during my first exam and cleaning at Boulder Holistic Dentisty - very professional, thorough and offered suggestions that I have not tried before to help my specific issues related to lichen planus and tension in my jaw. Shannon did a great job cleaning my teeth. She was very detailed and gentle. I highly recommend giving this practice a try!

Shannon, the dental hygienist, does a fabulous job on teeth cleaning, and on general dental health education. I've been well-cared for by Boulder Holistic Dentistry since 1983! Founder and dental pioneer Steve Koral insisted on removing & replacing my mercury fillings then - a marked positive contribution to my long-term overall health. We miss the wonderful, late Steve but Dr. Mustian, Marion Koral and the whole team are terrific.
