Richard S Burns
The Richard S. Burns Company is Philadelphia's only fully permitted and LEED staffed materials and waste recycling facility. From our origins as a one person cleanout business in the 1960s, we've grown to a 60+ person team of professionals. With our unbeatable combination of recycling options, LEED certification, flexibility and pricing, why would you even think of looking to anyone else to solve your waste handling and materials recovery needs?

At our 10 acre facility, we can quickly respond to all your non-hazardous disposal needs, large or small. Our fleet of trucks can pick up material at your site or you can drop the materials off directly at our Philadelphia location. Founded as a small-scale, one-person local cleanout operation in the 1960s, Richard S. Burns is now Delaware Valley's only complete recycling and waste recovery facility.
Services
We at Richard S. Burns & Company are proud of our past, present and future. Founded as a small, one-man local cleanout operation in the 1960's, we have grown into an innovative waste recycling facility with a staff largely comprised of employees from the local community. Our 7 acre recovery compound capable of handling over 1500 tons a day of waste and materials.
Burns offers an array of containers and dumpsters in 10, 20 & 30 cubic yard sizes. We can even fulfill unique job requirements, whether you have extraordinary volume needs or difficult site conditions. We also have a selection of smaller containers on dollies, which allow for the use of containers in very tight conditions, where a standard dumpster might not be viable.
Our recycling facility is open six days a week. Pricing varies, depending on the material and the amount of material. Please see our detailed schedule of pricing below. Remember, we have 2 LEED AP's on staff and can provide you with LEED Material Recovery reports, upon request. Call 215-324-6377 x208 for details.
A natural result of our recycling efforts is a large supply of recovered and ready-to-use material products. Listed below are some of the many products we have available for sale, including our patented cover product, Barrier. Richard S. Burns offers recycled wood, in chip form, to its customers. Wood chips are processed from recovered materials and are chipped to 2 in diameter or less.
Designed for small jobs or removal of heavy, more difficult to load materials such as concrete demolition, sod tear out, dirt removal or asphalt demolition. Great for tight or small space. This size dumpster is delivered by a smaller truck and the footprint of the dumpster fits neatly in a parking space.

Not sure why I'm receiving a package from this address with a check and letter telling me to wrap my car in a budweiser logo when in theory if it was not a scam it should be coming from Anheiser Busch

Asked them for a price to dispose of one toilet bowl since I live close by. They told me it is $100 per ton. I said it hardly weighs a ton, probably just 50 lbs, then they replied their minimum fee is $90. What amount of labor on a toilet bowl justifies $90 disposal fee?

Our company was a frequent customer at this facility in Philadelphia. Arrived at 7 this morning only to be told we must now have $188 cash in order to enter and unload. Not to pay for the load just for them to hold and it must be cash. New policy and no notice or warning was given. Now we have to leave, go to an atm and have cash to enter if we decide to go back. Well, we will be finding a different faculty because our unloaded and loafers are out daily and they used the business cards for transactions. This is a huge inconvenience for businesses and the drivers being sent to unload.
