Virginia University Of Integrative Medicine
The purpose of VUIM's First Professional Doctorate in Acupuncture program - titled Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc.) - and First Professional Doctorate in Oriental Medicine program - titled Doctor of Oriental Medicine - is to foster competent Oriental medicine practitioners through advanced studies. To achieve this purpose, VUIM sets forth the following goals for its Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc.) and Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) Programs.

Submission of Official transcripts from your Masters degree in Oriental Medicine. Transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope or directly from the institution in a secure digital format. Students will be required to submit official transcripts from all other institutions from which academic credit was earned if the student intends to request transfer of credit.

The mission of the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine is to produce educated healthcare practitioners highly skilled in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, trained to provide the community with affordable healthcare services while fostering the growth and practice of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine.
The Virginia University of Integrative Medicine was founded in 2004 as an institution of higher education designed to offer Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine education to students from around the world.

The University is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education of Virginia (SCHEV), approved for licensure by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education for the State of New Jersey, and is institutionally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).

The doctors are very knowledgeable and the students, very bright. I’ve been treated for everything from nerve damage to a swollen spleen . They always take excellent care of me and have me feeling better in no time . What I like about their science..... they treat the causes where as western science treats the symptoms
