In Barbados its a tradition to pierce a baby girls ears and put a bangle on her wrist. Usually the gold metal used to make the bangle is recycled from jewelry passed down from the grandparents and family members melted together and drawn out into new gold jewelry that will be cherished for a lifetime.
Island Girl Jewelry began back in 2008 when my husband and business partner Ricardo and I started working in his family's jewelry business in Bridgetown, Barbados. On my small work bench in our little shop we combined my designs and love of jewelry with his metal smithing skills.

Come on down to ArtsRiot for their annual Holiday gift show, this event is curated with a stellar lineup of vendors. Mary Hogan Elementary school hosts an amazing array of local craftsman and farmers from CBD to Honey. We never miss this event. Main Street Bristol comes alive for the night for all your holiday shopping needs.
All of our jewelry is handmade to order in our Vermont workshop located at 7 Main Steet Bristol. Our shipping time may vary depending on the size of order. If you are ordering one single item please allow for 2-3 business days before it is ready to ship. If you have chosen to 'pick up' you will be contacted as soon as the item is ready.

I’ve purchased at least 10 pairs of earrings and a few necklaces from Island Girl and every single one of them is fantastic. Great craftsmanship and quality and excellent customer service. All of the things I gave as gifts were huge hits. I’ll definitely be getting more when new styles come out. Highly recommend!

We love Audrey and Ricky's jewelry (and Island Girl store on Main Street)! It's our go-to for local beautiful jewelry and a warm conversation. This family has perfected their craft and we are lucky to have them in our small town. My daughter recently used her own money to buy me a heart ring that matches hers!
