DO NOT TRUST. I called at 4 pm for a ride from the airport and gave them my credit card information. They guaranteed me that they would pick me up at 12:45. My friend also called a few hours later for a ride to her house from the airport. When my plane landed, I called to see where to meet them and they said they do not have my reservation, they only have my friends. I then asked how I am going to get home and they said I can pay to drive an hour to my friends house and an hour back to my house (15 minutes from the airport) the woman on the phone gave me horrible attitude. I am SO DISAPPOINTED

I contacted Grove Street Taxi to reserve an SUV for three separate rides leaving from the Penn Station to a local hotel, and then the next day from the hotel to the Bayonne cruise port. Whenever I called to make a change to the reservation, someone at Grove Street always took my call immediately and made the changes. They also sent me follow up emails right away to so I could verify the information. I really appreciated their responsiveness! I booked this reservation last year long before the Corona Virus became an issue. Unfortunately, because the virus is such a epidemic, I had to cancel

I chose this company based on the reviews and the fact that my 13 year old daughter and myself would be traveling in the middle of the night. I wanted something that I thought would be safer and more reliable than an Uber. After waiting almost a half hour beyond our confirmed pickup time for an early morning flight to the airport my daughter and I had to find a different ride. My texts to check on the ride were left unanswered. We ended up having to Uber anyway in order to get to the airport as we planned. Thankfully the Uber ride was prompt and clean and I was pleasantly surprised.

I recently used Grove Street Taxi for drop off and pick up at Newark Liberty Airport from Jersey City. I booked a limo which is only $5 more than a sedan and way cheaper than the yellow cab from the airport.
In both trips, the car was on time and very clean. They sent me a full size SUV to the airport and a very well maintained Lincoln Continental for the pickup at the airport.
Both drivers were courteous, helped with the luggage and drove with safety and comfort in mind.
Last but not least, I was communicating over email to their office about how to pay or adjust the timings since my flight

Always a great experience. I've been using them for years and have never had a single problem. Drivers are very courteous and always on time. Cars are always nice and clean. Customer service is also great. Drivers and office staff are very communicative so you never have to wonder if your ride will be there when scheduled. Highly recommend!!!

We've been using these guys regularly for airport service and they are 100% reliable and professional. You can keep your credit card on file if you want, and the dispatcher will remember you, your preferences, and addresses. They'll monitor your flight status too so you don't have to tell them if the flight gets delayed. Also, they have car seats for the kids. I can't recommend more highly.

I called them to get a quote for a ride from an address I was moving from to an address I was moving to. The quote was $28. The day of the move I called again and received the same quote. When the car came, I was told that the quote given was a mistake and that the cost was actually $35. I needed the ride to get to my new place because the movers had already left. I argued against the new price and the driver put me on the phone with the dispatcher. I absolutely recommend using their services! I found grove street taxi on a whim through a Google search. I booked online through their website and received an email confirming my car. I also received a text message confirmation in the morning. I booked for 6:45am and the driver showed up at 6:40am (if you're early you're on time). The driver was very professional, helped me with my luggage, and had classical music playing which I appreciated at that time in the morning. He wasn't a crazy taxi driver cutting people off and stopping short. I was at ease the whole trip to the airport

Ok, well we had to find a way to JFK for our flight out of New York, and our flight was early in the AM. We tried this company ourselves, and it was ok. We called to book and were told the normal $65 would be $75 for the early commute time hassle, and then the normal $14 toll. So, we booked and from other reviews, we got ready to go and by the door 15 min before scheduled arrival. 5 minutes before we got a call saying our limo was outside waiting for us, but since I was looking out the window and there was no car, I disputed this, which caused the caller to correct herself and say he was at

Doubt I'd ever use them again.
Grove street taxis came recommended to me. On my pickup from the airport, once the driver finally called me and we were trying to determine where to meet, he hung up on me. Once I finally met him at his car, he didn't help me get my bags into the car then insisted I leave a tip for him.
Next time I will just use a regular taxi. Not worth the hassle.

Were they on time? Yes. Did they charge me $10 for waiting 7 minutes as I came down the elevator from my building after their call? Yes. Did my head LITERALLY hit the roof inside the car because it was such a piece of crap that had no shocks/suspension (whatever helps a car not feel like a roller coaster)? Yes.
Recently moved to JC from Manhattan and took a car to JFK. The guy was pretty rude and the car was a real piece. I seriously got nauseous because the ride was so bumpy. I get that there are potholes but you felt every single crack in the road in this car. I will not be using them again

I called them to pick us up at 6:45 on a Saturday night. They left us waiting in the freezing cold for a HALF HOUR. Dispatch kept telling us that it would only be another three minutes, then another three minutes. "He's really close, I promise!" When the driver finally got there and we'd already missed our dinner reservation, his excuse was that there was a lot of snow on the ground. I might not have been compelled to write a review, but neither dispatch nor the driver was willing to offer us a discounted fare. That's ridiculous.

I agree with Sophia's review. Great service, good cars, and they're always there on time (my typical pickup is ~4:30am so it's comforting to know that I don't have to worry about scrambling to get a car last minute.)
The dispatcher knows it's me from the caller ID and they have my payment info on file so everything's a breeze.
I highly recommend over any other car service in Jersey City.

I've tried literally every cab companies in Jersey City and I have to say that this company is the BEST! They are punctual, reliable and easy to work with. Every time I need a car, I simply text them that preferred pick up time and pick up location and they are there at least 15 mins before the agreed on time. They would text me to let me know that the driver is there and/or to let me know where to wait for them (if pick up from the airport). The drivers are courteous and the cars they use are of good quality-- sometimes mercedes, sometimes SUV. They are my designated driver go-to company
