When her father was earning his economics degree from Oklahoma State University, Dr. Kellie Holmstrom and her brothers would visit the livestock barns on campus to see the animals. One day when she was only five years old, a team of veterinarians and students rushed into a nearby stall to deliver a calf.
We were visiting in Munising on a Saturday when our new kitten Elfie became very ill. A call to our downstate vet said she was probably reacting to her booster shots and might need antibiotics. We got in immediately with a call to AMC. Dr. Klar was wonderful with Elfie, who got painkiller, IV, and X-rays.

Thank you to everyone at the animal medical center! When my son and I lost one of our cats recently we were devastated and didn’t know what to do. When I called to ask for help they were extremely helpful and super understanding, made appointment’s for our other two cats to be seen and when we arrived to the apartment both cats were not having it! The staff was extremely kind and helpful they decided it would be best to just reschedule them and gave me something to give them that would help calm them down before the next appointment. I called the after hours number a few days later concerned

These folks cared for my Husky mix for 13 awesome years - routine care as well as cancer and emergencies with some surgery. I totally trust them. I recently adopted a rescued young Husky mix who had some traumatic experiences before I got him. The staff and vets have been so patient and helpful with tips on dealing with his anxieties and were great with his intra nasal porcupine quills that he got a couple of weeks before me.

Wow, such an awful experience with emergency care. Would give zero stars if I could. My daughter called after hours for emergency care at 9:15 pm on 9/21/2021 for help with her cat. Explained the symptoms to the veterinarian: labored breathing, eyes rolling back in his head, collapsed, and lost his bowels and urinary control. The irritated veterinarian said, “this line is for emergencies only, and this doesn’t sound like an emergency.” The female vet said it was probably an anxiety or asthma attack. My daughter followed the expert advice and guess what?!? My daughter took her cat to another

The care is good but they are grossly understaffed. Long wait times on the phone and in office. I have been going there for several years and it has only gotten worse. On average I wait 2 weeks for a vet to return my call or pass along test results. Today i waited 60 minutes in the room for a blood test that took 15 seconds to complete.. I understand emergencies happen but my time is valuable as well and a heads up would be nice if they are that far behind schedule.

The Animal Medical Center of Marquette has been fantastic to deal with. My puppy (7 yrs old) needed this teeth cleaned and I was very apprehensive to have him put under anaesthetic. They were very professional, cautious and comforting. Thank you Dr. Holstrom

We were new clients. When I called to make an appointment they were so helpful and was able to was able to get my cat Morley in the next day. I appreciated the vet's suggestions and alternatives for his treatment. The clinic is well maintained and very clean. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and helpful.

They are always so genuinely caring and helpful. Really great place and staff.
Years ago when my cat passed away they came in on Easter to help out. Today they took my concerns about my new cat's previous reaction to a shot seriously. The time before the vet cuddled my cat just for the love when she was done with her checkup. I love this place and these people.

I first started going here about 3 years ago when I got my first cat. They were super helpful with giving me information that I would need to know when bringing home a cat for the first time and vet appointments were always professional and they explained things well!
After a year and a half my girl got sick and it took several months to figure out what was wrong with her, unfortunately it wasn't something that could be helped and she had to be put down. During that time I did have a fairly negative experience with a specific vet and a vet tech. Wouldnt return my calls, promises not kept, at one

My mother had to go twice to have her dog cleared. First time they stated her appointment was incorrect, even though they the booked appointment, she left without correct services being delivered. I called and spoke to a very nice young man who stated he would take care of the problem. Then they recalled my mother and told her to just bring forms to be signed. Once again I called and spoke to the same young man who said he would speak to the owner and office manager to see if this could be fixed. He called me back and stated that yes, they would squeeze my mom's dog in. She arrived and was

I love Animal Medical Center of Marquette! I had my first pet ever; my cat Bert fixed and vaccinated here. The staff was super friendly and helpful - they explained everything to me in a way that I understood since I have never done this before I didn't really know what to expect. They loved Bert and were so sweet to him. When I picked him up after his surgery Dr. Aho talked to me personally. Unfortunately, I am moving from the area so I don't think myself or Bert will get to see these people again, but I would highly recommend bringing your pets here!

I feel very comfortable bringing my pets to the doctors at AMC! The entirety of the staff is friendly and helpful, the building is always clean inside and out, and they are very knowledgeable! Their prices are very reasonable. They aren't the only good vet clinic in the county but I think they are just great, and I highly recommend them!
