I used Galvez Tree Service for a large tree removal on November 18, 2021 on Loockerman Avenue in the City of Poughkeepsie. Ivan with Galvez came to the house within a few days of calling him to look at the tree and provide me with a quote, we had obtained three other quotes. We entered into an agreement for Galvez to remove the tree because they were the most reasonable while being careful about damaging the yard (they laid quite a few pieces of plywood to protect the grass). Galvez Tree Service did a great job with my overgrown birch tree that was growing too close to the fence and chimney. They did an overall cleanup of the tree and it looks balanced and the threat of damage to the house was removed. They had a wood chipper and carried away all the trimmings, and even used a leaf blower to remove the sawdust from the front porch. Great service.

Seamless. Ivan came out, worked with our budget, and gave us a very reasonable price to cut down a very large maple tree that was uncomfortably close to my house. He sent the contract with certificates of insurance and a date and time frame for when the work was to be done. The crew showed up right on time, got right to work, and were gone in 4 hours along with the tree. Highly, highly recommended. Thanks.

Ivan, the owner of the service is personable, honest and professional. He told me he would arrive for the estimate at 2:15 and was exactly on time. He kept his promise of doing the job as soon as possible and the price for the job was very reasonable. Within 4 days of the estimate, he called me and told me he would be at the house the next day. They arrived exactly on time and completed a difficult job of removing big, heavy, high branches that were hanging over the house. He did this carefully with his crew and him working in unison. The professionalism of this company is incredible! They showed up at the agreed upon time and date and started right on the removal. In an amazing 3 hours the project was complete and cleaned up better than before. I am extremely happy with the results. The price was very fair and reasonable. I would recommend them without any reservations and use them again.

I asked for insurance and a contract. We agreed on a date. He did not send a contract and was a no show.
Mr. Galvez just called me to complain about my review. He says because I'm a" rich lady, I think I can do anything I want." I suspect this was a veiled threat.
Interesting business approach.
He admits he failed to show and did not call, no excuses.
I would give a zero but don't know how.

Not only did he respond to my yelp inquiry within minutes but he showed up to give us a quote exactly when he said he would and followed up several times after until we were able to pick a date for the tree work. Angel Galvez provided very competitive pricing to trim a very large tree and cable a huge trunk as well as treat a gash in the main trunk and to trim a good number of trees lining the driveway. He and his staff showed up on time on the date scheduled and completed the work in approximately 4 hours. They were polite and professional.
