I have been owner of S.J. Janis Company, Inc., since 1984 and I receive great enjoyment and pride in helping our project management team provide our clients with a quality remodeling experience. My goal is to provide an enjoyable remodeling process while exceeding our client's expectations.
Although I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in the biological aspects of conservation and chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, I decided my talents were served better in the home improvement industry.Learning the business from the ground up, I joined S.J. Janis as a sales representative in 1977 and became the owner and President in 1984.

After our initial conversation, we set up a meeting at your home to see the existing space in person. Our Senior Design Consultant will analyze the existing footprint and talk through the possibilities of expanding the space or interior remodeling options to fit your home's style. Any structural concerns are addressed along with analyzing the big picture of what you want your home to be.
Building your dream home is a team effort. At S.J. As an interior designer, I had the pleasure of partnering with SJ Janis on a renovation for my client. This renovation included a 2 room addition among other things. It was imperative that the exterior of the addition blend seamlessly with the original portion of the home - and SJ Janis nailed it.
Their team is able to handle everything from architectural drawings to project management, and they keep their clients informed and involved throughout the project.
If you want quality work with an ethical contracting firm, I would recommend SJ Janis and their team.

SJ Janis has done several projects for us over the years, most recently our kitchen. We have had great experiences with them every time. They do quality work and walk you through the processes seamlessly. Any time we have had a concern during our projects, it was handled immediately and to our satisfaction. They truly care about doing a great job and making sure you are happy with every aspect of your project.

Two years ago I hired this company to enclose my outdoor swimming pool to a indoor pool. At first everything was fine but then when winter came mold began to form on the walls in the pool room. Eventually I learned that the walls were not insulated right. No real insulation was installed just foam which was not done right either. Now two years later the job is still not completed correctly. Do not hire this company, they do not know what they are doing and are full lots of excuses and delays. They are the worst on fooling up and continue to do nothing to finish my project. Horrible company do not

SJ Janis was our primary contractor and designer for a large kitchen remodel that included taking down a load bearing wall and retorting plumbing, hvac and electrical systems to live inside beautiful columns in our island. They brought to the table extensive engineering experience, design know how and a high level of custom craftsmanship. They were the best contractor we've ever worked with and the entire project went very smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have had several positive experiences with S.J. Janis over a period of approximately 12 years. The first project they completed was finishing our basement. This project was completed during the promised time frame and our family has had many years of enjoyment using the basement, complete with full bathroom. Our second project was a master bath remodel. They went beyond my expectations with the design, the respect of our home (always cleaning up at the end of the day) and the finished project.
