Vincent Lash began his career in the jewelry trade in 1980, receiving the Graduate Gemologist designation from the Gemological Institute of America in 1982. He became an independent appraiser of jewelry, silver, and clocks after establishing his company, VINCENT LASH & CO., formally a.p.praisers, in 1986.
In addition to appraising throughout the mid-Atlantic region, he writes articles and gives lectures about the jewelry trade. Over 400 insurance agencies, including State Farm, Nationwide, Allstate, Erie Insurance, and independent insurance agencies, refer their clients to Vincent Lash on a regular basis-most having hosted jewelry, silver, and clock appraising events with him in their own offices.

Highly recommend Vincent Lash for your appraisal needs! I took my engagement and wedding ring to him to be appraised and he did a wonderful job. He explained everything he was doing and answered all of my questions. Plus the best part is, you do not have to leave your jewelry with him for several weeks like some other places. He does everything right in front of you and then you get to bring your jewelry home with you. Plus his prices were very good compared to most places. Vince is outstanding and truly among the best in the business! Since his prices is so affordable, we have had him appraise several pieces. But his biggest quality is the way he treats his customers and assists them. We had delayed getting an appraisal for a diamond that we purchased on a cruise in 2015 until last year. Vince's appraisal showed that we had paid nearly twice what the diamond was worth. On our next cruise in February of this year, I approached the Royal Caribbean shopping guide about the diamond retailer that Royal Caribbean (and other cruise lines) endorsed. Long story

I can’t say enough about how knowledgeable, professional and incredibly remarkable Vincent is at what he does. His independent appraisal saved me almost 4K on a pair of diamond earrings. He was so wonderful with all of my follow up calls and questions during the interim period of going back and forth with the company about over charging me. Eventually, his appraisal prevailed.
