Services
Rising Generations was born in the hearts of owners Kelvin and Paulette Munford in 1997. They've led a family-centered experience from then on and now have a center that boasts Maryland State Certified Lead teachers with an average tenure of 10 or more years.

Along with the quality curriculum, outdoor play, and a warm, nurturing environment, this distinction sets this school apart, and your child benefits from the enduring trust and care from the familiar faces they bond with throughout their most precious years.
We follow our child's interests every day with age-appropriate, engaging activities they love. Your child beams when they see their artwork proudly displayed, letting them know they belong. Fresh air, sun, and play uplift moods and strengthen your child's muscles as they get moving! Meals and snacks are prepared on-site for great nutrition so that your child stays fueled for the day.
Your little one is guided and cared for by Maryland State Certified Lead Teachers, whose priority is giving them the compassion and patience they need to thrive. As they spend their days enjoying the fun, engaging activities designed to stimulate early development, your child's learning ability grows along with their curiosity and confidence.
Toddlers aged up to 23 months play together, while kids of two years and older mix with one another so your child continues to interact with their peers of the same age. They explore activities that cater to their specific developmental needs. Your child gets the attention, compassion, and educational guidance they need from highly trained teachers with years of experience.
Your child is in the capable hands of a highly qualified team of teachers, many of whom have been with the school for more than ten years. With dedication and consistency, they offer unparalleled expertise to mold and encourage young minds. With closed-circuit cameras covering all areas and a vigilant team on hand to screen all visitors, your child learns and plays in total security, giving you priceless peace of mind.

Not an ideal place for an infant. It seems there is very little experience in this age group. A crying infant does not constitute a pickup. What is the point of paying this weekly rate if you all cannot do YOUR part by actually taking care of the children and using your best methologies in child development???? I DO NOT recommend for babies/infants.

I loved the building but I hated the way management handled issues and concerns. Like other reviews, I have a strong willed child. He hated to even go into the building. I witnessed he was fine with a few of the teachers. I just never understood why he would resists walking in the front door. I spent time in his classroom every morning. We received threats of termination for behavior issues. I received emails about my lack of parental involvement. I was enraged and consulted a few professionals in child development. They all told me to trust my child. I transferred him to another school. He started

Now that I have exhaled I can now speak. My grandson was enrolled in March and got terminated in June. He was only 2 years old! He is now 4. For behavioral issue?! What was the behavior? Jumping? Taking off his shoes? Breaking a line? Give me a break! All in the name of your "zero" tolerance nonsense! It does not make sense to me. To care for children you cannot adopt a zero tolerance stance. Children will be children. I was very disappointed in Rising Generations . At first, I thought they were equipped to deal with children and in my case a 2 year old. My grandson is just an energetic boy, very

Rising Generations Early Learning Center is THEE BEST center I've come across thus far. They are extremely professional and more importantly they look after your child as though your child were their own. They take pride in building up OUR next generation! My daughter attended this center from the age of 1yr to 4yr. During that time RGELC devoted time in strengthening her educational, social and motor skills. By the time my daughter hit kindergarten she was reading at a second grade level and I have RGELC to thank for that. She entered kindergarten knowing a beginner's level of sign language and

This is a bit long so sorry in advance: My son was terminated because he was having some behavior issues. I understood that this is a Zero Tolerance school. But was told all efforts would be made to avoid termination. When my son would get in trouble, when we talk to his teacher she would act if it wasn’t that bad or things were said like “he not the only one” or “you know how kids can be sometimes” but then he would get written up by the administrator, Mrs Cherise. And upon speaking with her my son’s behavior was much worst. So the communication there was bad. As a parent I refuse

As a former employee that worked at Rising generations in lanham, I would have to give the center a 1 star. Beautiful center, and its in great location, but management is HORRIBLE. Ms. Kemisha( director) is extremely rude, stand off-ish and never speaks to her staff. Ms. Munford ( owner) is also very rude, and noone ever knows when there in the building. Ms. Cherie ( front desk) gossips and tells everyones business, but when it comes to handling business, she has no clue whats going on. Ms. Cherie got on me for following natural saftey information by wearing gloves to display, and handle the childrens

This is a phenomenal daycare!! This is their 3rd location, so they know what they’re doing and have built an awesome brand!! This particular location just opened in Jan 2018, and it took a a little time to find the right staff, but they have it now and I’m completely happy! I’ve always been happy about the care that my son has received from day one, and the mangement team is professional. The facility is beautiful, secure and was thoughtfully designed! I highly recommend this daycare.
