Meleka Jolliff founded MMJ Events in 2009. Her passion for event design and planning was cultivated from an early age (7th grade to be exact). Meleka has a unique eye for design, and an ability to mix personal touches with beautiful details. MMJ has been recognized in top publications including Inside Weddings and Martha Stewart.
Meleka holds a bachelor's degree in communication from The Ohio State University. Kate graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University where she studied Business Management, as well as dabbling in many design courses. She discovered her love for events as she was a lead role on the marketing and recruiting committees for her university's Dance Marathon.

Where do I even begin with Meleka and MMJ Events. My day was an absolute fairy tale and Meleka was able to create all my thoughts into a beautiful masterpiece. The most beautiful thing I heard throughout my day, is that my personality showed through every detail, and that is thanks to MMJ Events. Not only did I have a wonderful experience planning my wedding with Meleka, I walked away with the most beautiful memories in my head and a new friend. Meleka takes wedding planning to a personal level. She gets to know the ins and outs of you and your partner's personality , so the couple can shine through

We used Heather for day of coordination for our wedding last week and I truly feel blessed to have had her by my side. My guests keep commenting on how organized and perfectly timed the wedding was. I am so thankful to have Heather and the team help with the set up, tear down, vendor communications, and timeline. I highly recommend!!

I don't know how I would have been able to have the wedding of my dreams without MMJ events. Meleka is such a pleasure to work with! She literally made things so easy for me. We hired MMJ events as our day of coordinator for our wedding. This allowed our last month before the wedding to be stress free. Meleka took over contacting our vendors, making our timeline and running the show at our rehearsal and wedding. She also set up our decor and made sure we didn't get bothered on the day of our wedding with the little things. We honestly couldn't have done it without MMJ events

It's rare to find a bride who says they genuinely enjoyed the planning process - but my husband and I had so much faith in what Meleka and MMJ Events were capable of we truly had a blast planning and celebrating our wedding. She executed flawlessly and created the wedding of our dreams! If it weren't for Meleka and her team, we can say, without a doubt, our wedding experience wouldn't have been even close to as incredible as it was.

A mutual friend recommended Meleka Jolliff of MMJ Events and the moment I met her I knew she was the planner for us. Not only was her work amazing, but we clicked immediately. Meleka was there every step of the way with our planning process and she didn't miss a beat. All of my family and bridesmaids live in other cities and states so she really was my soundboard for each decision we had to make.
