The Schweitzer Hotel is truly a step back in time including the furnishings and especially the hospitality! The quaint atmosphere with the warm and friendly welcome and service from the Schweitzer's is a memory you will want to experience again and again! I not able to visit as often as I want to or can but when I do I take a big part of the experience with me and remember why I only stay at this Hotel.

Monday was one of the hottest days of the season. Sam Snoddy, one of the workmen on the Pomeroy block was overcome by heart early in the forenoon. In the afternoon he returned to work but about five o'clock, old Sol was again too much for him as he was stricken with blindness and was unable to work.

Great place to stay in Hill City, KS! Owners are very personable, warm and friendly and accommodating! We have stayed on two separate occasions in two different rooms. Both times very satisfied! The beds are very comfortable and have had a good night's sleep each time. Will continue to be our go to place to stay in Hill City!
