Dr. Shankar Lakshman is the principal plastic surgeon and founder of Pasadena Surgeons. Dr. Lakshman is a board certified plastic surgeon and is also board certified in surgery of the hand. He began his training in one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation working for three years in pre-requisite general surgery residency. Afterward, Dr. Lakshman worked for a year and half with a burn and wound care fellowship at the same institution.
We perform all of our surgical procedures in a fully accredited free standing surgical facility that is authorized by the state of California and is affiliated with a hospital. Early August of this year, I was involved in a pretty serious motorcycle collision. Upon receiving the word of multiple breaks of the metacarpal bones in my left hand, my nerves began to set in. Dr. Lakshman was referred by a long known and highly respected Glendale surgeon.
Upon meeting with Dr. Lakshman, he was quick to set forth a game plan to reconstruct my hand. His staff was immensely helpful and courteous throughout the process.

Hello everyone! If you're looking for BBL this is the place to go! The Doctor is not going to sell you on anything you don't need. He will give you a very honest opinion on what you can have worked on and whether he thinks it's necessary. Dr Lakshman was amazing and made sure I was at ease before my operation. Leading up to the operation I was able to visit as many times as I wanted to ensure I was comfortable with what we were going to do. I could text the front desk any time I had a question. I never thought I'd be one for a mommy makeover but after meeting Dr. Lakshman and his wonderful staff, I felt more confident with the whole idea. I urge you to put Pasadena Surgeons on your list to visit. It's been almost a year now since I had my surgery and I LOVE the way I "feel" and getting dressed every day is PURE joy! I fully agree with the positive reviews. the doctor is truly a competent and caring physician. very respectful as well. quite a gentleman. His parents did an outstanding job with him. Don't expect him to do what is not right for you. If you want honesty and quality and integrity ,you cannot ask for a better surgeon. The girls in his office are like a sweet little bunch of honey comb. lovely doctor and staff all the way around. The best doctors are not on television. Because,they don't need to act . They truly deliver!.

Dr. Lakshman is wonderful! His bedside manner puts you right at ease, and his knowledge and understanding of his field of expertise shows in his work. I had minor surgery recently and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him one iota. Support staff is lovely too - the women at the desk are very friendly and accommodating.

I had carpal tunnel, that required surgery. Dr Lakshman was recommended . After meeting him I decided I would have surgery and I am so happy with the care and surgery . I am still recovering and can only expect to improve. I now have sensation in my fingers and I can move them much better than before surgery.

Dr. Lakshman Plastic Surgeon operated on my right hand on September 8, 2014 at Verdugo Hills Hospital. I was able to use my fingers with in a week, and with out restrictions with in 3 weeks. It has been just over one month and I can not see where the 2” scar is and my hand feels great. I plan on returning to Boot Camp and resume my exercise class this week.
