I love arriving with a big smile on my face, congratulations on my lips, arms outstretched (for a hug, of course!), and legs ready to dance the night away!
By the time your wedding day rolls around, we will have met over coffee (or via FaceTime), hopefully hung out for a few hours for an epic engagement session, worked together to created a detailed timeline of your wedding day, as well as compiled a strategic family formals list. We'll have sent many emails & texts back-and-forth ironing out details & fine-tuning our plan for the happiest day of your life.

Seriously, whenever someone tells me that they are getting married, I get goose bumps - because omigosh - weddings are SO exciting! So, definitely imagine me all giddy & goose-pimply right now! There are a lot of "fads" when it comes to photography & my goal is to avoid all of them. I never want my images to date themselves simply because of the post-processing that was added to them.
And before you write me off as a super self-centered person, let me explain - wedding photography is an incredibly personal experience, so I want to make sure that we are a good fit! There is literally no one you will spend more time with on your wedding day than your photographer. In other words, let's be friends - because who better to spend your wedding day with than your friend?
Kara shot our wedding roughly 1 1/2 years ago. We were so happy with her professionalism and quality of work. There was not a single picture we didn't love. Since then, I have been in multiple weddings and my bridesmaids have been in multiple weddings/had their own weddings. Unfortunately, Kara was not the photographer for those weddings.

We could not be happier with our engagement photos by Kara! This was the first time being in front of a professional lens for both of us and Kara made us feel comfortable, gave great insight and instruction for poses that looked "not posed," and had great ideas to keep the photos creative. Warm and kind demeanor and very quick to respond to any questions prior to the event. Highly recommend!

Kara is the definition of professional, thorough, and sweet! She went above and beyond anything I would've expected from a wedding photographer, and now we have a huge collection of pictures - including some of the coolest shots that I never would've thought of or asked for - and we received them SO. FAST. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer to help make our wedding day special.

Kara is a total sweetheart - she was so understanding and helpful when we had to reschedule our wedding *three* times due to the pandemic! And her work is fantastic. We were super particular about what we wanted and she really went out of her way to make sure we were happy. Her energy and enthusiasm make the experience fun and stress-free, and we loved her attention to detail (fixing my train, making sure strangers weren't in the shot, etc.). She was always available to answer questions leading up to the big day, and she got our pictures back to us even faster than promised!

There’s not enough adjectives to say how amazing Kara is! She is so easy to work with. Leading up to the wedding she is quick to respond to emails and get things organized. During the wedding every single person that worked with her had nothing but nice things to say. She hypes you up the whole time. She makes you and your guests feel so special! The pictures came out gorgeous. There’s not a single bad thing to say about her. If you want professional but also want a human being, whose going to listen and act like a best friend, Kara is your girl. You won’t be disappointed.

Where could I possibly even start with Kara! She shot our August 22, 2020 wedding at The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake, and we could not have been happier with our choice of picking her as our photographer!! We are so, so thankful we were able to have Kara photograph our wedding!! She made every part of the experience so easy and stress-free. She was very professional, and our wedding and engagement pictures turned out amazing, but she's also incredibly friendly and truly cares about her clients. Kara was the perfect photographer for our wedding! When planning, people told us not to skimp on the photographer because the photos are the one thing that you'll have with you for the rest of your life, and we're so glad we went with Kara! (sidenote: super affordable as well)
