I contacted Chris at D'arta painting company to get a bid on a stain job. He touched base with me in a timely manner and set up a time for a walk through and estimate. I got estimates from 3 different companies and all were within a few hundred dollars of each other. I choose Chris because of his communication and expertise with log homes.

Wonderful people who did a wonderful job. Chris and his crew were polite, great a communication and our interior paint looks amazing. They did great on set up and clean up. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using D'arata. Their estimate was a little higher than other estimates we received but the quality of their work justified any additional cost.

Chris D'Arata and his team are professional and deliver the highest quality. My wife and i just purchased a home in Grass Valley last fall and it really hadn't been cared for properly. Chris gave a professional assessment and advised what to do to not only preserve the exterior but also to make the most of our property. The result is absolutely amazing - looks like a new house. I hired Chris to stain some custom cabinetry to match the existing wood in the room. They were very professional from start to finish. Chris stayed in contact with me via text to keep me informed of the schedule and they were always right on time. After the first coat of stain, Chris sent me a picture and I decided to go a shade lighter. Chris was very understanding of my request and accommodated me with changing his schedule along with the extra effort of lightening that first coat. His attention to detail is excellent. We recently had Chris and his crew refinish our ironwood deck. They were very professional - letting me know when to expect them each morning of the job and knocking on the door to let me know when they arrived (as I work from home). They really took their time with the job in power washing the deck, then sanding it down, and finally staining it. They clearly take pride in their work and don't just rush through it to get on to the next job. Our deck looks absolutely beautiful!

We recently had Chris D'Arata Painting prepare and paint the exterior wood trim on our Victorian style house and outbuildings. Despite delays imposed by weather and unforeseen challenges requiring extra caulking and other prep, Chris and his team did a beautiful job. We feel that they always went for quality in completing the work, even if going the extra step meant taking more time to get it right. We had a very quick job that needed to get done in order to put our house on the market. We got 3 bids from local companies and Chris was in the middle. We could have gone with the cheaper bid but we felt that Chris did a more thorough job during the walk-through. We were impressed with his eye for detail and keen focus on the specifics. D'arata painting, painted my house recently Nov 2013. He is honest and went above and beyond to please me and make sure we were satisfied. He used the top of the line Pittsburgh paint and caulked all the door jams window frames and trim and more. He was very easy to work with and worked hard and was very meticulous. He also had some good insight on color matching and triple coated the sunny side because it was soaking up the paint . I would highly recommend them.
