Services
Bannan Funeral Home was founded in 1903 as the Williams Funeral Service. In the 1940's the Bannan Family purchased the business changing its name to Bannan Funeral Home. The business remained in the Bannan Family until 1978 when William and Nancy Mischley purchased the funeral home from Harold Bannan.
Charles LaCross. Dan retired from Stoneport. He was active in many sports and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dan also liked doing woodworking and was involved in several clubs and volunteer work. Surviving are his wife, Patricia;. Ted graduated from Hillman High School as Valedictorian along with being a Michigan Tech University graduate in mechanical engineering.
D. Chad Esch is the owner and president of Bannan Funeral Home in Alpena and Hillman, MI. Chad is a licensed funeral director who is originally from Pigeon, MI. He studied at Wayne State University and graduated in 1998, shortly after, a full-time position opened up in Alpena, MI at Bannan Funeral Home in 1999.
