I'm the owner and co-founder of Barnes Sklare Remodeling. I started working with my uncle Chuck and his remodeling company while I was in High School 25 years ago. We found we had a great time working together and shared the same likes, attitude, and goals. After high school I helped my father and Chuck for many years with a successful telecommunication business.
I left the company to pursue some callings and later reconnected with Chuck to create Barnes Sklare Remodeling with a super simple business model. That model has proven successful. It's very simple. So. because of that, we pay them a respectful wage and treat them like family. They also have four day work weeks.

The owners, Chuck Sklare and Chris Barnes are a dynamic uncle/nephew duo who, after working together in the industry for over 20 years, came together to form a company that they would want to hire to do their own homes. They started and ended work for the day when they said they would. Project lasted exactly as many days as projected. They will definitely be our first contact for future projects and renovations.

BS remodeling did such an amazing job remodeling our kitchen and dining room! Chris and his crew were so respectful of our space and had the best communication on each step of the process. Chris was so easy to get along with and was always open to our ideas and changing things when we wanted to. There wasn’t any pushing or forcing us into doing things a certain way, it was always up to us. Chris also had great suggestions on places to partner with to get the material we wanted to make our kitchen and dining room absolutely perfect. And Chris is always willing to stop in to check on our kitchen

Loved this team! I had a bathroom added in my basement and a patio door installed . They also removed part of a wall in living room and the drywall was perfection! Electrician also added some additional lighting and outdoor plug on patio. I’m definitely hoping to have them back when I can. I was so very pleased. Just honest good guys that take pride in their work.

Chris Barnes and his team are thorough professionals. They remodeled my basement after a water damage and now that’s the best section of my home (according my mom, at least). Jokes apart, these guys are polite, friendly and very good in what they do.
Working with them was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with any contractor in 20 years. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking to get a high-quality, hassle-free job done. Worth every penny I paid them!
