From 1956 to 1992, Braden's Wholesale Furniture Co., Inc., functioned as a true wholesale furniture distributor, operating a designer showroom in downtown Knoxville and a traveling sales business in seven states selling smaller independent retail furniture stores. In 1982, the Braden family purchased Fowlers Bros. Furniture Co. of Knoxville and in 1989 opened Knoxville's largest furniture store at 110,000 square feet on North Peters Road.
In 1985, upon returning from a trip to China and Taiwan, Gary Braden started Associated Furniture Importers (AFI), which brought in furniture parts and provided assembly and cartoning in Knoxville, selling to retail dealers, including Sam's Wholesale, around the southeast.

Great customer service.
I've been working on re-doing my apartment living room and been searching for the right furniture (including how to layout) since February. I have visited several furniture stores, including both locally and nationally owned. While all stores have been helpful, it was at Braden's that the service I received helped me to finally decide on what I wanted/needed. This is directly attributable to my interaction with Bob Everett.
As soon as I walked in the door, Bob greeted me and let me know he was available. Being the type of person who needs to think things out loud to help

We had been looking for a while for the "perfect" sofa. We knew what we wanted. After looking and looking, we went to Braden's. I guess we saved the best for last! Yes they are pricey, but you won't find this quality furniture at Ashley or Knoxville Wholesale. Carrie Sims was our designer. She was also busy with another guest, and we never once felt neglected. We couldn't of been treated any better. The Braden family went above and beyond to make sure we left happy and content. Lots of thanks to the Braden's and staff!

I love Braden's! If you want good quality, beautiful, and unique furniture ...go to Braden's ! Their quality is superb and if you do not find it in the store .... they will go out of their way to find it for you from many of their represented vendors. They have helped me with this on several occasions. We stopped by here when we were about to head into Ashley. They have some lovely pieces with nice finishes. The prices are ridiculously high. $1,000 for a counter stool and you have to buy at least 2... If you're the type of person who likes to spend money on something just to say you did, this is the place for you. Otherwise, try Ashley, Bliss, Ethan Allen, or any other furniture store first.
