Village health care and rehabilitation is not taking care of my mom properly. They will not allow family members to visit. They are under staffed and are not able to care for residents. Village health care needs to open their facilities to the public. The city and country are open. The staff are not into doing their jobs and are using covid19 to keep people out. This facility should be investigated by health care officials.

My mother( Shirley E. Braxton) passed away at The Village on Tuesday night (11/24/20).She had been there for 5 plus years and her care there was exceptional.I commend every one at the Village for my mother's care.Down the road if I need long term care I would want to go there.I especially want to thank Cheryl Armstrong with her conference calls and all the help she provided me in those 5 plus years.Bart R. Worked here as a CNA several years ago. The training was great...
But everything else was vile. I started on the hardest hall, so I was told by other workers. Me and another CNA (who had totally given up already) were left to Sprint around trying to take care of 30+ people. About twice as many as two can feasibly handle. I left fast.
I still hear stories from past residents about how terrible it is there. I hope for their sales it isn't true. But I'm leaving this review because if what people say is true something needs to be done.

I once worked in the kitchen at the Village Health Care Center when I was 16. I'm 23 now and have a good job, that brings in six figures every year for me. One of my brother's friends is looking for a job and I suggested VHCC. I searched VHCC on google to send him the link. However, when I looked at the google reviews I was extremely saddened to see the same complaints and problems I was so disgusted by still persist 7 years later. The insincerity, neglect, and overall complacency of the CNAs and some of the other staff is absolutely inexcusable. There NEEDS to be a change. If these staff treated

My grandmother is currently a resident here, I have not been able to visit yet due to my own health issues, but based on reviews from family and outside medical reports her care has been EXTREMELY NEGLIGENT. She is only out of bed for an hour a day. She has bed sores. She has lost a ton of weight as she says the food is terrible. She is in extreme pain and they are stingy with her meds. I am a very angry granddaughter at the moment. They will not be happy with me when I am cleared to visit if things don't turn around quickly...and the amount of money this place costs??? Patients should be treated
